AcuraLink goes inoperative after car is off for 6 days?

Greetings, all -- wanted to see if what happened to me was a glitch in the Matrix that I should have someone look at, or if this is something that happens to others as well. I recently went on vacation and left my 2017 RDX Advance at the airport, but on the last day of my vacation (6 days in), I got a text message from AcuraLink saying that "AcuraLink service for your 2017 Acura RDX has become inoperative." I checked my AcuraLink app, and it said it couldn't contact the car. Then I called Acura, and they said they were unable to get a response when putting my VIN into the system.

I flew home the next day, and when I started up the car, the AcuraLink icon on the upper screen was greyed out for a second, then turned white, then I got another text message saying "AcuraLink services for your 2017 Acura RDX have been restored." So I'm wondering if AcuraLink "hibernates" after a while when the car isn't being used?
