I had a free trial and it expired and I just renewed, however I can not figure out how to activate it.

I was told by someone at XM to turn to channel 1, then 7, then 175 to activate. However, when I try to change the channel on my TSX with the dial it only goes between 3 different channels provided with the radio when you are not subscribed. I hope I am not missing something really obvious here. How can this be done?

Can you direct input the channel numbers? Try that. If not, then go back online and send another reactivation signal via xmradio.com

 

There is no way that I am aware of -- I bought the car slightly used without a manual, so there is no way to directly input it that I am aware of.

 

Hmm, did you try pushing the tune and seek buttons?

Make sure the car is outside, you are on the XM Preview channel..go online to xmradio.com, login to your account and then resend an activation signal...wait about 30 min and try changing channels again. Also, make sure your XM Radio ID is correct.

That's all I can think of..it should be literally that easy..sometimes it takes a while for the signal to send. The satellite sends out activations on first come first serve, so it could take a while if a bunch of folks are doing it
