ok i have a stock bose system in my 98 cl. I like the unit but i want to upgrade to get a couple modern features. My goal is to find a unit that looks good and not cheap looking like so many of the new aftermarket units. I don't care for a thousand buttons and flashy lights. I want a unit that sounds as good or better than the bose with an aux in and perhaps usb in. I want a good unit maybe even a double-din to match the old look. what are some really good quality units? have you heard about clarion decks, are they any good? any thoughts are hugely appreciated.

 

Search google and audi forums do the leg work yourself. Head units usually are personal pref though as I like alpine.

 

So any head unit is good sound quality? better than stock just a personal preference? no units i should avoid

 

Like I said search man audio is in most part opinion. But alpine is very good clairion is also good as you asked about it . Pioneer makes good decks and good tv's

 

Yeah Aftermarket HU is Personal Choice IMO.
Im a Kenwood believer myself But I had a Couple of Pioneers that didnt let me down.
