Lightbulb 3G TL Phantom Audio OEM Amp Upgrade Long Term Review

Hey all,

I had originally stumbled on Jesse through facebook back in 2016 when the amp in either my 2004 or 2007 started losing volume despite running it full blast.
After the rabbit hole I had gown down on my OG TL trying to get clean sound to an aftermarket amp, I was relieved to learn there was an upgrade that was more
simple and kept the OEM amp.
Fast forward to 2022 when I ended up buying my old TL-S back...on the drive down from Missouri I was SO impressed with how clean the sound was and crisp
even after all these years...so much so that I messaged Jesse to thank him again for putting out a grassroots product that was of quality. Low and behold now it's
called Phantom Audio and he does these upgrades and he has one that is even epic'er than my original one. Why the heck not, I do believe I'll be the forever home
for this KBP TL this time around...

Don't think he's a vendor nor wants to be but as a long time forum member myself, I figured I would at least share the option with what few members actually go to
forums to do their research in the first place.

I made a little comparison video between the original one that clearly has almost died and then the upgrade from 2016 and the new one...

Needless to say, I'm happy with the upgrade.
J.

What he does to transform these amps is absolutely phenomenal.
Back when he was starting out, I got him to ship me the components he used so I could do the labour myself on the SSM.
Out of respect for his business I won't share it but man, what a cool guy to do that.

Glad to hear he's still offering this service!

GP stamp of approval is all you really need.
Come to think of it I think he offered me the same information back then
but I'm not super sure of myself with microsoldering a board so I let him do it. LOL.
Glad to see him kicking ass and taking names.

Also glad to see an OG Ziner actually checking in an posting. Hope you're well!

This looks awesome, is affordable and should swap out with the factory Amp in minutes. This will be my next mod after the KTuner. Thanks for sharing!

Glad to share, man. I am hoping it makes you and other members as happy as I am.
I recall my first venture into upgrading was such a nightmare to me.
