2017 MDX Tech Real Time Traffic is Not Working

We have a new 2017 MDX Tech and the real time traffic worked in North Carolina but won't work in South Carolina. After wasting a ridiculous amount of time on the phone with the dealer, Acura Link and Technical Support, I've learned that the new technology is provided by Here.com and according to this coverage map on their website, there is no coverage east of 95 in North or South Carolina. In fact, the majority of the US does NOT have coverage. https://coverage.here.com/hd-coverage. This makes me really mad especially considering the real time traffic worked fine in our older Acuras - how is this considered an improvement? Everyone at Acura is blaming it on Here.com but that doesn't solve my problem. Anyone else having this problem and getting any better information back from your dealer or Acura?

That's very unfortunate. But I'm not sure what can be done at this point to rectify the issue until Here updates their coverage maps. Have you talked to Acura Client Services about maybe refunding you the Acuralink subscription cost in the meantime?

There is no additional cost for Real Time Traffic - it's included in the purchase price of the car.

I recently updated the maps on my 2016 RDX and now my acuralink doesn't work including real time updates. I used by Iphone Acura link apps quite frequently and they don't work now either. I wasn't happy with the nav system even when it was halfway working. I am going to call the salesman who sold me my call. He has been very helpful in the past and seemed especially knowledeable about the infotainment systems. I noticed this week that Consumers Reports did their update on Infotainment ratings and once again Auralink and Hondalink got bad reviews. No surprise. I love my car otherwise but in a high tech vehicle it is a major deal breaker to have such poor design. I doubt I would buy another Acura unless they seriously redesign their whole system.
