I have a 2003 6 disc changer, and it is now displaying an error 1 message and the disc won't eject. What can I do? Thanks in advance, I am new to this forum.

 

Your CD carriage is probably jammed. This happens alot with burned or labelled CD's.

You're going to need to bring it in to a service department. They nomally charge a standard fee of $80 to pull it apart and diagnose the problem. They can probably fix the carriage without any further charge. But since it happened once.... it's going to happen again.

I'd recommend replacing it with an aftermarket setup.

Double din Pioneer!! You have atleast 150 options for replacing the indash cd player. Realistically.... what do you want as an end result. What features are important to you? Sat Radio, IPOD, CD changer, video?

 

this happened to me in my CL and I was able to pop out the cd using a butter knife. my issue was due to a cd-r that had a label on it. i felt lucky because my previous car had a bose system go out at 50k miles and it became quite an expense...i was beginning to have flashbacks
