I know this will sound crazy, but kids will be kids...

Was taking my son and my nephew to drivers ed the other day, and my daughter who was with us wanted to recharge her DSi on the way. So I got out the DC/AC converter and had her plug in the AC adapter for her DSi. A few minutes later, my nephew sees something he doesn't like on the DC/AC converter, picks it up to move a loose piece of metal and...WHAM! my stock headunit and cigarette lighter both go dead.

I've checked every fuse in the fuse panel thinking that a fuse had blown, but they're all fine. Now for my question:

Does the power in cable have an inline fuse for a stock headunit for 2003 CL-S? I've looked all over this site and the general Internet for that answer and am drawing a blank. Not terribly interested in going through the hassle of tearing apart my dash to find out either.

NOPE Most Likely a Fuse went Bad and you Missed it!

When I was installing my HU I made a short in mistake from the cig lighter in the Center Glove box then Suddenly my HU didnt Want to Power ON! Checked Several Fuses until I found One blown in the Passenger side Cover! I cant Really remember what is called but check them Again! there must be one blown for sure! I think is one for 15A/Green? Cant Remember for Sure...

Thanks Skirmich! You were spot on with your analysis. Busted 20A fuse found and replaced...headunit and cig lighter work beautifully again!
