I see everyone complain about the stereo in the CLS---I like it...I think it sounds really clear and there is BASS---Not a ton of it..but that it the exact reason why I hate the stereo in the new maximas...it is so Bassy it sounds like a muddy piece of crap. Are some of you guys like the guys who are like "bling bling" look at me bumpin down the street ? That was cool when I was 20--but I am 30 now so I am happy to just enjoy clear crisp sound with a little bass.

It sounds fine with the radio. When I play CD's though, there no bass. I'm not into booming down a street either, but it needs more low end for my tastes.

I agree...it's a shame when the Infinity "premium" system in my old '98 Avenger was better than this Bose system.

I thought the CD sounded really good...but I have always had stock stereos...my stereo in my honda civic ex sounds good to me but not as good as the CL-----the stereo in nissan products suck...it is a 200 watt bloated bassy piece of garbage...the cd in the RSX is awful...the cd in the passats..(monsoon) is one of the best stock units I have heard...also the cd in the 2001 prelude sounds good to me as well.

if you think the stock sound system in Civic sounds good, then you are way out of our league . Actually, I dont go for earth shakening, windows shattering bass but a little bass that I could feel inside the car which the stock fails to satisfy me, hence, something needs to be done. It's up to each owner to define "satisfy".

I like sound quality...and to have SQ you need the right stuff...the bose HU sounds good for me but I ditched all the rest of the stuff and now I have something that alows you to lisen to the music the way the artist entended you to hear. I love it well as soon as I get my sub

Our Bose system is OK for stock. When choosing a radio, I think Acura sacfriced some sound quality for a 6-disk changer. I only need to ride in other cars with stock radios to appreciate our setup. The HK system in a BMW is very nice. But, after listening to a nice aftermarket system I always need to hide my checkbook for a few weeks.
