1st Gen Tweeter Replacement

Hey there all,

I was just wondering if anyone had replaced the tweeters in their 1st Gen CL. I was hoping someone could tell me how to get the covers off of them, what fits, etc etc. Time to start playing with the stereo in there. I bought a Alpine 1000 watt RMS amp... 3 Type R 10s, a 4 channel alpine amp for the mids and highs, type r components for the front, type rs for the rear, an alpine IVA-C801, and the matching CD changer. I havent ever taken one of these cars apart so if someone could help me out with basically everything i need to know to replace all the speakers, get rid of the BOSE and what not, I would apreciate it. Thanks a bunch

Not sure what model you have, but I have a 99 3.0 and the tweeter covers pop right off. Just pull up on them. I also have the bose and let me tell you, it sucks. Nothing adapts perfectly to the stock brackets, etc. Everything has to be custom fit. I'm in the process of installing an entire audio system. I am taking lots of pictures of everything, so as soon as I'm done, I'll be posting the entire install on my site.
