I am sure you will enjoy your choice, and agree there are inherent differences between the two. But you are mistaken about the inductance of an Xbl^2 motor. For a given excursion it utilizes a much shorter voice coil compared to any other motor topology including the standard overhung motor like the lambda. This naturally results in a lower inductance, especially in the pass band. That's why wide bandwidth midranges utilizing Xbl^2 are so effective. The top end isn't limited by inductance even though they have such a large Xmax.

I have as well. In fact I just bought a new Jasper jig when my first one cracked. PE is great for things. I'm suggesting Furryletters because of the price, shipping speed, etc.
PE orders always take some time, and shipping always hurts. When I'm doing BIG orders yeah it pans out to be a good deal.
Last order I made involved 6 TB 6.5" minis. That was a couple days ago btw. So I use them too with no issues.

That makes a world of difference. Much like one of the best upholstery stores EVAR is right here in my city.
All the carpet, vinyl, adhesives I could ever need I just pick up at killer prices as opposed to buying carpet online. In fact, did that at PE before I found these guys, and realized I had wasted a LOT of money.
In short, yeah... PE is great. Hell my front stage is PE purchased. But Furryletters can't be beat. Not sure how he does it, but here's what I mean:

Compare with:

Amazing, huh?
And when you start dealing in larger bulk you can request shipping discounts w/ furryletters and end up way ahead.

OK AE AV10H's just came in,
I've purchased some "full extension" drawer slides, and I'm working on a system plan that stacks the AV subs on top of my HRU.4. Bing did a similar thing with a Lexus, and it looks pretty amazing. I just finished my "other" vehicle's system, so now I can focus on the Acura. This was the result of my work on the Tribute, my second car:
I am still working on a trim board to detail the backside of this board, but this is at least functional for now:

looks like it is coming along. I just replaced the entire stereo system, and it definatly sounds better. Right now I just threw in a pre-fab box for the subs and am interested to what you are going to end up with.

I finished late yesterday in 107 degree heat, and decided to pick another day to clean up the trunk and take pics.
I ended up with a ~2.01 cubic foot box, the box actually ended up with some very tidy dimensions of 13x13x31.5, without any angles. I thought I was going to use a swept back like a hatchback might, but the trunk to rear seat shaping doesn't really work like, say, that Tribute of mine. In the end, I installed the HRU.4 to the box (on a spacer board of course) and faced that towards the ski-pass. The DTR1.1700 fits on top of the box, as does the 3sixty.2 and power distribution. It is all tidy and such except that I do need to make a hide board for the whole thing when time allows.
Pics tomorrow.

Pics delivered!
Head unit
Left Dayton tweeter in A-pillar
Right tweeter
Ski pass open
The box is tucked up as far as it will go. The spare tire is still 100% accessible, the factory floor covering and the hinge within the covering stops right there by the edge of the box. There are few straggling wires, I'll work on that as I finish up the fine details.
I'll make a few cover boards sometime soon. One will go above the subwoofers and display the amp, and one board will cover the entire structure so I can A: run stealth and B: throw things in the trunk without worrying about the subs being in peril.

This has become a very important thing for me in all my builds I do for myself and for others. I have learned that to cripple a car in one of the most crucial moments for an owner (a flat) is asinine. Only show-only cars go without access in my book.
