'05 Nav/XM/IPOD

OK, my head hurts from reading all of the posts here.

Am I correct in saying that currently there is NO solution for an '05 TSX with Nav and XM to attach an Ipod WITHOUT having some type of external switch included?

I realize the switches are small, but Iwould like to be able to do this without adding anything to the dash, console, etc..

FM modulation is out of the question for me, sound quality sucks...

How did Honda figure this out for the '06 TSX with the input jack? Is there an entirely different HU or is there something that can be retrofitted to an '05?

I did it by splicing my Xm input wires and adding Soundgate Aux3. I think there is a new plug and play device finally though....will look for my thread on how I did it.....can't find it! I know I wrote a little one wtf did it go?

It's right here...

I would recommend the X3 from PIE. It works great on my 05 MDX/Navi. I keep my XM and can play my iPod with a push of a button.

^^^^thats not mine. Mine has the plug diagram on the first post. But I would also suggest the PIE since it is easier than splicing wires.

Does this really work

Am I reading this right? The is a reliable way to add an AUX in while still keeping my XM and NAV? I'm with the first poster, my head was hurting reading all of the posts about what does and doesn't work when splicing this to that and...... Anyway, I am not that concerned about having control via the radio, just getting clean sound from the IPOD to the unit would be great. I've had my 2k5 for a week. LOVE the car but am really missing my MP3's. What are all of the parts I would need to get this working?
