04 TSX Aux Input Connector

I have decided to get Sirius for my 04 TSX since it is not Sat Radio ready.

I ordered the PIE HON03/PC-SON which will connect to the factory non-navi head unit. I plan on getting the Starbase and use the RCA out of the unit to connect to the Aux Input module.

I am curious to know where this connector is located. Ideally I would like to find some images of its location. I did pull out he storage bin and don't see much but can feel a small plug just a little upward...but it seems like it might be for the heating/cooling controls and not the radio.

I would like to do the install myself.

I have found an FAQ on this website but the links to extertnal pages are broken.

Thanks for all your help!

John

I believe you're feeling the right empty plug, but the FAQ is the best course to follow for instructions on how to do it.

How much is that PIE thing?

The PIE adapter is costing me $79.99 including USPS Prioruty Shipping from California to NY. Locally, nobody has one and most places are up around $100 + ship.

So, this is the correct plug? Seems kind of small...and it is pointing down, right?

Also...the FAQ has a broken link and is not very clear. I also am getting conflicting info since some sources tell me the plug is behind the HU and not under it.

Well, I'm not working any harder to help you on this one. I've told you where it is and posted pictures with my damned hands on it... short of buying a round trip ticket, flying to your house, and doing the install myself, that's probably all I can do.

And logjam is selling them for less than that... www.logjamelectronics.com

I just wanted to make absolutely certain. I saw your images and they were definitely helpful but your radio looks different than the one I have. Yours may be a 2003 or something. Mine is a 2004 and DOES NOT have the NAVI.

Oh, and LogJam has the part for 99.99. I do not know where you see yours at!!

Here is their website:

Also, before getting testy with someone, you might want to confirm your sources. As per LogJam's website, they charge $7.50 for shipping. I also called Thur afternoon and confirmed the price, shipping and availability.

Above all, the last thing I want to do is make a fatal error with my vehicle and short something out. It is alway beneficial when doing something like this to make absolutely certain that you have all your facts straight!

As far as the logjam price, I was wrong, and I'm sorry I was wrong. That was the non-TSX part (which will not shrt ahnything out, won't fit).

As far as getting "testy", I wasn't testy, I was pissed. I choose to be irritated by people asking for free advice, and then asking to be convinced after they get it. You're an adult (presumably) and it's your responsibility to reconcile conflicting information in your life. You asked where the plug was and I posted pics with my hand on the thing. The FAQ may or may not be perfect, but it's been here for like 2 years, and many people have done fine with it. With that info and the pics I didn't , and I don't, see what else there is to do for you.
