03 TL-S woofer help

I'm trying to just upgrade the woofer to something a bit stronger. I have a Audiobahn Alum12N I am trying to put in. I followed the DIY/Sticky, and still nada. I took out the stock amp, keeping the little harness it plugs in with. I tapped the remote, and the woofer negative and positive and still nothing. amp comes on, but no signal. Should I use a line out converter on these lines?

Ok, figured it out! Way easier than I thought.

Unplug the little amp. You can take it out if you like, or leave it in if you're gonna resell it with stock components.

Blue wire - Remote turn on
Light brown thicker wire - signal from HU

Cut the light brown with blue/green and orange/blue and solder in the RCA cable, like the one from radio shack. That to the amp, same with the blue remote. I used black wire with light blue shrink wrap on the amp end so I know it's the remote. Power from the battery, ground to a seat back bolt, DONE! I haven't pulled readings as far as voltages go, but it bumps pretty good for the lack of adjustability.
