Post is $340 bucks too much for install??

well i have the sub and amp, i just needed the box and all the wires and someone to install it, so i went to a custom stero stop. Well they wanted 140 for the box, but the box would be custom, from top to bottom and side to side in my trunk.. ya know! So they said i needed a lineconvertor, and wires.. and total with everything he said it would be $340. Is that too much?

Depends on what kind of power cables, wires, RCA and line out converter they are using. Let's break it down for you:

Power Cable: $35
Speaker wires: $10
Line out conv: $30
RCA: $25
Box: $140

Total $240

So they are going to charge you $100 to hook up everything....that's not bad.
