when i saw her for the first time, i thought there would be no way she would be interested in me since she was so attrative and i was so unattractive. my custodian talked to her and i, trying to stir things up, but ultimatly it was up to her and i make things happen. i figured i'd give it a shot and try to go out on at least one date, for the experience if nothing else. one day i manned up and asked her out. it was awkward for the both of us, things didn't go to smoothly and nothing happened. i thought i failed and i put it behind me. about a week later she gave my custodian her number to give to me. i called her up and eventually went out with her. by the second date she began to like me and by the third she really liked me. as i got to know her, she turned out to be much different than how i initally thought was like.
oh, and she's told me that her woman friends who have met me think i'm attractive. so maybe i'm not as unattractive as i think i am? that helps to raise the low self esteem a bit.
i'll tell you what i've learned so far: if you see an opportunity with a woman, take it and don't put her up on a pedistal. treat her like you would anybody else and don't be anxious. don't act like you'd eat the corn out of her shit. be presentable and nice, but don't go out of your way to impress her. you can't make a woman like you, either she will or she won't. if she doesn't, be willing to put it behind you. above all, she is not what you think she is and you are probably not what you think you are.
