We've had alot of donation drives on this site... for various causes. For the site, for members, for humanity.

Everyone has always been extremely generous, and everytime the money has been used for a good cause. You broke a great trend.

On a personal note, you collected $250 huh? I forget exactly what I donated, but I know it was at least 1/5th of that. It might not be much, but to me it's something. I'm kind of insulted that you would throw that away on some shit as stupid as gambling.

However, I won't hold it against you, and I don't expect the money back.

This was just a dumb move, and now I know your pretty much a dumb guy. Not mad at you for that, but it's just the facts.

If you can't handle the fact that people may now think of you as DUMB (because this whole thing is straight DUMB) then yeah... leave.

And yes, since it is a donation, if the people who did donate want their money back, PM me, and I'll send it back. Like I said, if you help someone in need, and give them a donation, I dont EXPECT the money back once they get on their feet.

It is all because of what happened to you. You have yet to look at any of this from other people's eyes. I didn't make a judement initially because I didn't know that facts. But now I see this goes back to that stupid motorcycles accident. I cannot feel bad for you if this all stems back to that. If you ride a bike, you have to know there can be consequences. I am sorry that what happened to you did, but since then it seems like you have been bitching about it and expecting any kind of sympathy you can. When I was extremely down on my luck, all I looked to this forum for was some moral support, THATS IT!!! You lost a bike and some wages. I lost my job and my house. I moved on. Yes, I can get a new house. As I said, I have moved on. And yes, burns CAN AND DO heal. It does take time, of course, but it heals. Instead of being thankful that he made it out of that situation ok, he seems to have kept his mindset stuck on what he has gone through. It is tough, but he has to move on. If he asked or someone asked for assistance here, and assistance was indeed given, then I can see why people are upset that he posts about losing large sums of money. If he chooses to gamble it away, that is his choice, but there is no need to post it here and basically slap those people that donated across the face. I am not saying that in general he is a bad guy, as I don't know him. I am just basing my opinions on this matter by what has been posted. I do wish him luck in the future, but think he needs to think things out more clearly next time.

Katana, you're not understanding why some people are upset. No one is saying that the money you received wasn't used properly. But if you receive money donated because of the goodwill of some Acurazine members, and then two months later post a thread about online poker and other money-spending events, people are going to wonder how badly you really needed the money in the first place. So people are wondering whether you accepted money that you really did not need. Get it?

I don't know about you, but if my life became so bad that I need money from people on here, there's no way I'd be able to get back on my feet and have the disposable income to play online poker two months later.
