One of my EXs was very enthusiastic about shaving my sack.... but I was terrified as fuck, it was suppose to be a sexy experience as she put it, but I couldn't stay hard for shit. I thought of all those blades slicing me... one little jerk, and there would of been a knock out.

I've tried twice to trim up the fellas. The most recent time, I got a little over zealous and nicked them. Very, very painful.
The lady never ventures down there anyway (in a manor that the hair would matter)...so whats the point right? Is there something else to consider? 
Oh, and I used a beard trimmer. Worked well for most areas. The nooks and crannies were a bit more difficult.

I use a razor to shave while in the shower, using water and soap as lube. I once made the mistake of using clippers with no guard. I still cry occasionally from the pain I endured that day so many years ago from the nicks to my natural murse.
Pull the skin taut, take your time, and you can't go wrong with a razor.
