I seem to be having trouble with AZine not auto resizing images that are too big for the screen.

I edited my preferences and even set a hard limit (800x600) to see if it would work, but nope.

Happening in FF and Chrome.

Anyone else having this issue?

Here is what happens: (it then throws off the line wrapping for the entire page)

OK, thanks. Usually I just think I am crazy or my Windows 95 installation is corrupted, but this one I checked on two different computers.

Just don't do it with a picture over 800px wide or the forum will break.

I mentioned it in the car photo of the day thread, one of the few that I've noticed it, and only with a couple users' photos not resizing.

Did the site stylesheet just change today? Pager has a lot of padding around numbers, Seems like there's extra stuff now. Just me?

Hey Everyone,

As juniorbean mentioned, we rolled out a small style change and are continuing to tweak it. You may notice that link colors have now been adjusted and the underline removed, and we also tweaked pagination to better fit on the page.

Thanks!

Seems like a column sizing issue...

LOTS of wasted space on desktop browser (Chrome).

I too noticed sizing on the site is ... off. Good advice for IB to continue tweaking!

Agreed, it seems like the columns should auto-size based on content.

We have a fix in the works to bring back the desktop view's font size when on a mobile device.

Regarding the white space, believe it or not, it was actually worse in the prior version. We shifted the percentages of some of the columns to fill in the gaps while still giving thread titles and their associated page counts room should people use the max length allowed.

Honestly, the "Last Post" column looks pretty bad... Clearly the thread titles shown in that column are truncated ("...") so it's not like there will be more text in the boxes but the column is soo wide there is tons of wasted space on both lines. See red arrows below:

There won't be a negative effect on the actual posts in the forum below, either, since there is tons of empty space in that column farther down, as well:

Thanks, that's a really good observation. Right now, thread titles are truncated to accommodate smaller screen sizes. On a 1280-width screen, it's not quite as "empty" looking in the Last Post column as it is on wider ones. I agree there's an opportunity to perhaps offer longer titles for those with wider screens. I'll share your feedback with our design team and we'll see if we can scale the title lengths based on screen size.

I guess I appreciate the responsiveness, but my comment was generally leaning toward UNcluttering, not cluttering. We are all accustomed to seeing the titles truncated, and as such, I know I would prefer to have the empty space in the "last post" column reduced by making the column smaller, not filling it with more characters of the post title!

After this update we lost the ability to upload an image from the clipboard. Now it MUST be a link or a saved file on your PC. I often use screenshots when I post images, with Windows 10 you can hit Win + shift + S and make a quick screen clip that's saved to your clipboard, I used to be able to post that as an image, now I can't.

I haven't seen anything that's better since this update. We lost the view full site on mobile button as well, and as stogie mentioned the wasted space is ridiculous. So we've lost features and the site looks worse, why?

Also can I request some HTML 5 support so we don't have to keep using .gif's

Ah, sorry for my misunderstanding of your comment. Ultimately, we're looking to find the right balance between providing useful information and a clean layout. I'll share your clarified feedback with the team.

Appreciate the feedback! I don't believe our old editor allowed for pasting images directly from the clipboard, although it is a common feature on a lot of other sites. Either way, we're going to see if there's a way to implement similar functionality on here in the future.

For mobile, we moved the "View Full Site" link to be always accessible via the menu icon in the top-left corner. Just press that "hamburger" icon and you should see the option. We're also working to adjust the full site's displayed font size on mobile devices.

As for HTML5 support, are there any specific file types you'd like to see supported? Right now we support .gifv.

Thanks!

The previous image uploader 100% supported paste from clipboard, I used it everyday. It wasn't a drop down option but if you clicked into the URL entry box and hit paste it uploaded the image in my clipboard and not just if it was a weblink. Like I said I'd use screenshots often when you can't right-click on an image and choose copy, or copy address. This happens often with images on twitter, you can't always copy them or the address easily (I'm not using inspect element) so I'd make them big on twitter and then take a screenshot and paste it in here, last week that worked no it doesn't.

When did you add gifv support? that's the biggest one. Do I need to put [img] tags around a gifv link? Can I upload a gifv link with this image upload tool?

Thanks for the clarification. I originally thought you meant in the post editor's text field opposed to the uploader box. You're right that the uploader itself did used to allow pasting from your clipboard, and our tech team is looking into bringing back that functionality now.

As for gifv support, I believe we've supported it for a little while now, but only with Imgur. It works similar to our YouTube video embedding: simply paste/include the gifv file's URL, and our software will automatically embed it when you submit your post. We're looking at adding additional support for the uploader and other hosts.

I'm having issues deleting posts. I can't do it. The button is gone. At least in the R&P forum.

edit: Yup, I can't delete posts here either. No delete button.
