Got it. That's pretty much the scenario I made up in my head. I'll keep track of them then.

Thanks for the info.

Hello,

I've been having a lot of problems with these pop-up ads and also complete redirects that won't let me return to Acurazine no matter how many times I press the back button. This is using an Iphone on mobile view and it happens anywhere on the forum for me including the main page. Ads like "congrats you are the 300/400 people" or shit like that. I'll take screen shots next time it happens.

It's only began happening this past week or so. Never ever had the problem before. I only updated to the latest update on thursday and this was happening before that (however before that I was still on 10.1) I believe.

Thank you. I would also like to point out it has happened about 10 times in the past 2 days so it almost appears to be increasing in frequency.

But for real though, the pop ups are happening so often now and it's very frustrating.

So strange.

maybe don't use the mobile version of the site for the time being.

scroll all the way to the bottom and hit that "view full site" button

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that and see how it goes because now it's happening everytime I come on here. I have to admit I'm surprised Jason hasn't responded yet, he's usually SUPER fast with this stuff.

Sorry, I was out of the office these past few days. While I was gone, our ad team continued to work with our partners to figure out where this uptick of rogue ads is coming from.

We hope to have it resolved soon, but in the meantime, Mizouse's suggestion of trying Desktop View should be a safe alternative. We serve different ads on desktop and mobile, so presumably whatever's sneaking past us on mobile at the moment is not on desktop. That said, in the off change you do encounter similar ads in Desktop View, please let me know.

Thanks!

It's all good Jason, no worries. Thank you for looking into it. It's occuring every single time I go on the mobile site now. Initially it was here and there when it began 2 weeks ago, all of a sudden it's occuring numerous times a day. I'll let you know if the desktop site still causes issues.

Thanks again man

Sorry about the pop-up ads, guys. It looks like a rogue advertiser leveraged the holiday weekend to sneak some bad ads through. I've alerted our ad team and we're looking into the source.

If you continue to see pop-ups, please screenshot and post them here.

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up about that other thread. We're in the process of blocking specific ads as we see them, as well as coordinating with our partners to better protect against these rogue ads going forward. We hope to have it fully resolved soon.

The desktop site isn’t any better. You can work around it somewhat by stopping the page load and hitting “back”.

Just to clarify, are you on an iOS device when you see the pop-ups on the desktop site, or an actual desktop computer?

Thanks, we made some adjustments earlier in the week that should block the rogue ads. Are you still seeing any on your iPhone?

I'll let our ad team know that some are still slipping through. If you continue to see them, please take a screenshot and post it here.

Thanks!
