Can't reply or start topic with Adblocker

Were there any recent changes?

I can't reply or start a topic with ublock enabled (my adblocker). I had to disable it to write this post.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing recently or is it just me?

I also would like to mention I am not willing to turn off my adblocker to browse Acurazine.
Just browsing for 2 minutes without the adblocker on I was redirected to some address i believe https://youwinner.global.ssl.fastly.net/ telling me Congratulations and that I won something.
I never get redirected when visting websites so here I am thinking I have some sort of malware on my computer...
Good thing I read the thread about pop-ups here just below my thread and wow, IB please resolve this.

We haven't made any changes to our post editor as of late, so it's likely a change in how your ad blocker filters certain scripts. The editor relies heavily on javascript, so if any part gets blocked, the editor unfortunately can't load.

The good news is that in recent weeks, we were able to stop the redirect ads you described. If you're willing to give it another shot, the editor should appear no problem with your blocker disabled. We're also investigating on our end what may be causing the blocker issue and how we can address it.

Thank you!

I spoke again with our tech team and if you add acurazine.com to Ublock's whitelist, it should bring back our editor until a permanent fix is in place.

Thanks!

I had this problem too, and also thought it might be my ABP - so I disabled Adblock for the site and it worked.

But, I too had way too many experiences getting re-directed to SCAM/fraud website that were obnoxious, putting up popups in front, dialog boxes warning me "not to close the window" and messages about how "your computer has been infected with a virus" along with a nasty sound playing. When you try to close the window another one pops up etc. I swear, I don't understand how the assholes that make these scam sites have not been murdered (multiple times).

Anyway, perhaps those particular heinous adds are gone, but, they are (were) enough to make me never want to see another god damn ad again, ever, anywhere, of ANY type whatsoever - I now hate adds with a passion and get so so so incredibly upset when websites have adblock blockers that I want to scream and punch their webmaster in the face.

On the other hand, I've got your website open now without an adblocker, and I see this add:

And I don't mind it at all - I wish all websites only had those innocuous banner adds, then we wouldn't NEED adblockers in the first place.

I had to uncheck "EasyPrivacy" from my uBlock filter list (for Firefox) to see the comment box which allowed me to type this.

I had no problem with Safari and AdBlock Plus though.

Ahhh... I was having this problem suddenly yesterday as well. Glad I checked.

So what unintended consequences will be had by unchecking that "EasyPrivacy" box?

In my research, it seems to also affect other sites like tmobile, facebook, etc...

Out of curiosity, I enabled EasyPrivacy and updated list. No issues. Guess EasyPrivacy fixed the issue. Let's see how long fix lasts.
