Forum Suggestion: Free money for Acurazine

Free money for Acurazine
For what it's worth, forcing new members to wait 60 days before they can post their Acura for sale is a missed opportunity for this forum to generate revenue. A popular boat forum I belong to charges $15/year to post boats for sale in their marketplace. I paid that in a heartbeat just to post a WTB thread which was well worth it.
Acurazine could blend the two methodologies where new members have two options:
1) Wait 60 days to post a car for sale free of charge
2) Pay $15 bucks top post a car for sale immediately
that just happened!

I also deleted your visitor message which openly stated you have a car for sale and invited requests for it.
Please do not repeat any of these type posts.
We don't charge anything, never have and probably never will.
Welcome to the forums.

As an administrator you should know better than to hijack a thread with something off topic. Send me a PM if you need to scold me. Sorry if I bent the forum rules but you really should be more open to suggestions in the suggestion forum Ronald. Come on.

Your stance on not charging money for something people would willingly pay for may seem noble but in reality it flies in the face of reason. Not only would providing a pay-to-post option for new members generate your forum operating income (not profit), it would likely increase traffic to your site allowing you to charge advertisers higher rates. Those funds could start a contest for your members. $15 bucks would buy you two t-shirts to give away. Scale it up and the funds could purchase space at a car show to socialize your brand.
Most importantly though, forcing new members to wait 60 days denies your members exclusive access to Acura's for sale in the market before they are traded in or posted on other sites.
IMO, my idea of a hybrid approach is a win for everyone. Free is still an option for those who want to wait. Charging for early access prevents fraud (which I presume is the reason for the 60-day wait time)
Just suggestions for the suggestion forum. That's all.
