For 2012, I think the Ramblings section needs a little cleaning. For example, there is a "Technology" section and a "Console and Computer Gaming" section. Isn't technology part of a computer or console playing a game? Where would I put a game on my iPad?

And what's with Cameras and Photography??? Why not "Fishing and Fishing Lures?"

I appreciate certain Mods have the favorites according to their interest, but the categories can be streamlined.

That's easy... game on your iPad would go in Technology since the iPad is not a console nor a computer. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaming becomes a Technology sub-forum eventually... but they are definitely separate (and easily differentiated).

As for C&P, well, that was one of our first sub-forums and remains a popular one to this day, so I wouldn't count on it going anywhere anytime soon.

We have been keeping an eye on this since we established the Tech forum. The team has been discussing what we want to do with the Gaming Forum. For now, we are keeping it as it is, but I agree with Junior, that easily differentiable.


I've always felt that the tech forum is about hardware, software aspects of technology; whereas, the gaming forum is more about gameplay, talk about gaming strategies, new features in upcoming games, and talk along these lines. Not so much talk about gaming hardware. If one wanted to talk about hardware, even if it were for games, you could go to the tech forum and if you wanted to talk about gameplay, new games, etc, you'd go to the gaming forum.
