Picture Upload Resizing

I have seen a few other forums that offer image resizing during the picture upload process. One uses Postimages.org.

Since my cell phone pics are too big for forum posts, I end up having to resize to 800x600 or 640x480 before I can upload every time .

Any chance we can incorporate something like that so I don't have to manually resize pics each time?

Great question. There's actually no need to resize your images when uploading them to the forum. We dynamically scale images to best fit the device and screen size you're on. So when browsing our mobile site, we load a smaller image than when browsing the desktop site. At any time, regardless of your device or screen size, you can then press/click the image to view its in its full resolution.

Yes, this is how it works for me. I have noticed, however, that in 'preview' (i.e. before posting) the image may appear to be full resolution (over-sized), but in the post proper it scales correctly.

Yes, that's a known issue on our end. We don't apply the dynamic scaling beyond the post in its final published form, but it's something we hope to adjust in the future.

Thanks!
