Introducing Website Push Notifications

Want to receive instant alerts of new Private Messages and thread subscription updates right in your browser? Now you can! We're happy to announce AcuraZine now supports browser-based push notifications, a feature in modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and even Internet Explorer that lets you receive an app-style alert from individual websites.

Private Messages
To enable notifications of new PMs, head over to your Private Message Inbox. Above your list of messages is a blue toggle for push notifications. Flip it on, accept your browser's prompt to allow for push notifications, and you'll be all set! New PMs will push an alert to your device just like an app would.

Thread Subscriptions
We also support alerts for individual thread subscriptions. When you next subscribe to a thread, you'll see a new option to enable push notifications alongside the existing option for email alerts. This new toggle will let you select to receive push notifications for the specific thread you're subscribing to. You can also manage your thread subscription preferences at any time via your User CP's List Subscriptions page. Here, you can view and adjust your push notification preferences on any of your subscriptions - just check the boxes to the right of the ones you wish to change, then use the "Selected Threads" drop-down menu in the bottom-right corner to change your delivery preferences.

We hope you enjoy this new feature! If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know.
