I am in if you guys are going to make it happen, but we got to get it more organized and for more people to be aware of it to happen. Also if it's a BBQ, we need some planning such as type of food(s)/drinks/snacks, requirements such as bring food, head count to see if there is enough people coming to have one, and for any other new members to know about it and some commitment for showing up. Also if there is a nominal cost factor then, how we going to split it or get it sponsored if possible.

I might be able to ask a couple of others like "Patrick" or "Power-Fade" to show up but they might have to leave early but at least they can show up this time to just meet up and talk a bit.

I think one of us should PM Triggle and ask him what's the deal with it, if it's going to happen or not because Aug 1 is coming around the corner FAST and if not enough AWARENESS happens to other Local Acura members, it might not happen.

Since I don't think we will get enough ppl for the bbq as Aug 1st is coming very soon. We should maybe start a new thread for a meet on Aug1st. We can meet up at the same place Landsdowne Mall at unless some of you have a new location we can meet up.

hey guys, just an idea, if the BBQ didnt work out, we can cruise to whistler or mission racetrack way. so we can take a photo in there.... pretty nice background for photo and can have teatime in whistler....we can start the cruise around 2:00 o'clock at same place( landsdowne mall) and have teatime at whistler or in mission and back again to vancouver. what do u think guys?

Isn't funny how we see so many TSX in Vancouver but they never come out to our TL meets???? Maybe they have their own group or something??

Yeah I *should* be able to make it. Yeah they , TSX guys, seem to have their own meets and their own BBQ that was only for TSX'ers and their friends - but they later wrote that other "Acura" people could come haha; it kinda seemed snobbish, at least reading it initially, but I don't want to misinterpret what they wrote either as they might just be great and friendly guys/gals to hang out with too and perhaps shy or just simply more closer to TSX members who they talk to more often and can relate to each other.


It's not that the BBQ wouldn't work out. It just takes some time, money, and organization to do it. I actually have set up a BBQ before and it just takes a bit of effort though and Triggle wanted to try to get Acura dealerships and other sponsors to pay for the BBQ. I mean a small BBQ, for up to 15-20 people, is not that hard to set up such a hamburgers (more difficult) or even easier stuff to cook like chicken breast/ grilled meats/ with bbq sauce or skewered meats and vegatables shishabobs , marinated vegetables, mashed potatoes - easy to predo that. Of course we can consult our resident chef for cooking ideas - EJN_184

As far as cost factor and equiment - a small bbq grill I have and if people really wanted a BBQ, we could just put in $10-15each and it would be done for a small group of people and the other newer people/members or other referral type of friends that do come, we don't have to charge them but if they want to pay something, they can but not forced to pay either.

I haven't seen Triggle post so I don't think he will go through with the BBQ but if guys have time during the weekday, we can still do it if several people are dedicated to work together; I am still in on this if more people are willing to help set up and organize the BBQ as well as grouping some money together. I suspect this TL meet will be the same "core" guys that were dedicated enough to show up last time ( many thinks to those that did show up -haha Ed99, you were sick so you're off the hook ) The other alternative is what Chewi proposed last time, we can book an appointment at a restaurant and just eat there with all of us at a big table; it would be fairly easy to do that too. Last time some of us spilt off so we went in two groups. Ideally I would like to have ALL of us that show up eat at the same restaurant to make it cozy and more close so we can all share conversations.
