hi everybody, i just make a new post for the july 16 2005, and now we can discuss where the place and what time for the meeting.

well... i just found out that i'm not availale sat. night cuz i got work at 7pm.

if i can't make it then don't worry about me.

I hope you guys can set aside Aug 1 BC Day for a BBQ. I'll have more details after Monday.

BC Day is a stat.
I have been trying to kickstart a local Acura club. As a membership drive I planned to have a free BBQ and at least 6 prize drawings. BUT, I have not been able to get all the sponsors I wanted so I kept quiet until now. The free barbecue won't work because some Acura dealers won't help with the costs (some are willing). I'm rather discouraged because it is chump change for them.

A few sponsors have very generously offered nice prize packages. But if the BBQ is a bring your own food, not many will show, and I can't ask the sponsors to give stuff away if there are only a few cars.

I'm trying to figure out how I can pull this off without paying for it myself.

Actually Chewi, it was bad news. I have to wait until next week to find out if the Lower Mainland Acura Dealers Association will sponsor so I don't think I can do it in that time frame. If they go for it I may postpone and go for a Sept date. This would be a feather in their cap so to speak so I hope they do it.

I did not want to start another thread until I am sure we have an event. I'm willing to go for a bring your own food BBQ with a smaller group even if it is just the same guys who came out the first meet. What do you think ?
