Thumbs up Vancouver BC Canada/Seattle Washington Meet Sept/11/05 (PICS INSIDE!)

We are gathering a meet for the very first time with our US counterparts. Should be a lot of fun.

Here is the info:

DAY: SEPT 11-2005

TIME: 12PM

PLACE: RICHMOND BC (Just 15mins away from DownTown Vancouver)
LANDSDOWNE Shopping Mall North East PARKING LOT

Everyone is welcome to this meet. Hopefully we can get more TL's and some TSX to come. We will be taking our US members for a nice cruise and take lots of pics and hopefully have time to grab a bite too.

For the members in US, please organize a pre-meet with MugenR since he knows his way to Landsdowne Mall is in Richmond. I would assume you guys will have to meet alot earlier since it would probably take a good 1-2hrs drive north.

We don't have much time so please add feedbacks. Hope this will be a good turnout and hope the weather keeps up.

Please add your names if you will be attending:

I think we need a pair of FRS radio....
If we have more than 15 cars we should get one.

cruising downtown is gonna be hard b/c the traffic is crazy. Its gonna be hard to make it through robson street with everyone in one consecutive line.

hmmmm....still not sure If I can go yet.....there is a Seahawks game that day....maybe I might just utilize my TV tuner in the TSex? Would local TV stations in Vancouver have the Seahawks game? How about XM? Will my XM work up there?

Hell yeah! Does anyone have his #. His computer might be down again. What if you don't have a passport? Will they still let you across with just a Birth certificate? I know I have a passport being a military brat and all, just have to call my Dad and see if he still has it. Maybe I can talk him into ridin up with me.

I would suggest asking your travel agency. They would definately know. I know for fact that for Canadian Citizen we would need a passport to get to the states.

MAXboost and I went to look for some FRS radios @ Super Store and a pair of them can be bought pretty cheap for a 3.2 KM range. only 16 CAD for a cheap brand or 40 CAD for Motorolla.

The 8km range for motorolla will cost almost 100CAD.

I think we just need a 3.2 KM range for the cruise .

I personally don't care about the brand and would just buy the 16 CAD one ... so i guess everyone can chip in $1.50...lol

Oh yeah...I'm speaking to the 8-11 CANADIAN TL's here lol...US residents don't have to chip in....unless they feel like donating some funds to the Canadian TL's LOL...J/k

But yeah.. we should get one before the cruise sometime...

What do u guys think?

Count me in for chipping in for the radio. Unless we have members here that has a pair that we can borrow just for the meet.

No we are not passing the border but cruising along Richmond/Vancouver and I was thinking our last destination will be WHITEROCK since our US members will be heading back down to the border which is only 2mins away.

Bread A-spec,

You have to come buddy!!!! Not always we will have our US members coming up here for a meet and cruise!! Try your best to get that day off work!!

I went up to Vancouvy about 2 months ago and all I needed was a birth certificate and license.

If you don't have those, I know of a tunnel we might be able to use if they haven't destroyed it yet.

I'm working on some radios as we speak.....got a hand full of motorolas we might be able to use. Let me work some majic!
