The CAI AEM is the one I am interested in. THe Injen is just as good but cost $425. NOt worth it when u can get the same performance or better out of the CAI AEM just like the one Bread A-spec has.

Planning to ask g5/aj racing/rev/and few others shops. Unless you know a few other shops and I don't mind you asking around too to see who can get the better price.

i check on the ebaymotors.com
for the aem cai 2004 acura tl is $180.80 us dollar and shipping $35 us and insurance $10 us.so total is around $225 us , so in CAD is around $274 + tax. maybe we can compare to the shop around vanc, how much they can offer to us for group deal.

what do u think ed99?

u can check it on http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-C...QQcmdZViewItem

Wow $274 is a pretty good price and now to see if we can get anything close to that or even $300. Let me know what price you can get from calling around. I will do the same. So we have at least 3 of us so far that is interested. Anyone else???

hi everybody , especially ed99, i juct check the 3 shop :

garage five : for acura tkl 2004 aem cai $ 275 +tax and installation around $ 90
and they can negotiate for a group buy.

Ajr racing : $430 + tax and installation $50. and i didnt ask for group buy because its too expensive.

Mf technology : $310 +tax and installation around $60-$120 , and they said they can negotiate for group buy.

i dont know any other shop, maybe u guys can help find any other shop around vanc.

so what do u think guys?

G5 has the best price then with $275!! So this is the CAI AEM correct? Wow because they quoted me around $360 plus $60 for install. So it seems to be a pretty good price then. Maybe we can talk them down to $50 install since we have so far 3 of us buying from them and install.

ENJ184,

Can you find out if they can do better since we have at least 3 of us interested. So that will work out to be $275 + $90 = $365. So maybe we can get them to go down to around $320??? What do you think? Did you talk to Rob or Dave??

I will call them and $300 including tax and install will be a far shot I think but I can try for that. I have not had time to call yet as I have been pretty busy at the office. But I will try to make a phone call soon I hope. So in case I have a deal here...Chewi/EJN184 so you guys are ready to purchase one anytime when we come up with the best price right??? So I will let them know that we are serious about buying one very soon.

Wow that is pretty good price and especially $40 for install. I know it will take a good up 1.5hrs for install as they would have to take our front bumpers off for the install. Can you call them and ask how much can they discount while we have 3 buyers here. I think $300 including everything will be a good price to aim. Do you have there web site by any chance??

the website is www.advmotors.com. its on coquitlam.

by the way, i ask revolution at richmond, they have in stock, 2 piece for 2004 acura tl, polished color , AEM CAI, they ask for $270+ tax, but no installation.

so what do u think , ed99?
which one we gonna take?

I called G5 today and the best they can do for us is $250 plus tax on the CAI AEM and $50 cash on the install. So total would be $335 including tax and everything. I think it is not too bad since they went down from $270 to $250 and install from $90 to $50. Unless you can get advance to do it cheaper. Plus ask them if they have stock b/c G5 is out of stock and would need up to 4weeks for delivery. If so, we have to head down there together to place an order with them very soon. The sooner we order the sooner we will have it on our cars.

Yes unfortunately it will take 4weeks. Apparently they have been selling really well of late and they would need to order them in. At least this way we can choose which color you want. Unless Advance can beat that price and have stock sooner.

I agree with Chewi as long as we get a good deal on the CAI AEM then it is worth the wait. Unless someone can do it for the same price and have stock earlier. So have you check if Advance can go down anymore on the price?? If so, when can you guys meet up at G5 together??? The earlier the better so we can get our hands on the CAI AEM!!!

If you buy one from them they are charging you $280 plus tax and if you bring it to somewhere else it might cost more than G5. G5 has polish colors you can choose too. BUt they are only going to give us that price as a combo together only. But that is up to you buddy. Let Chewi and I know b/c I think G5 has the best deal at $250 and $50 install price.

hi ed99, i might kinda think again for the AEM CAI, i think im gonna wait for u to install in your car. check it out first. because i just heard, that kinda make the life engine shorter. so i think i have to think about it. sorry about the group buy.

ENJ184,

No worries and where did you hear that a CAI AEM intake can shorten the life of the engine. It is natural air going in and NOT forced air like a TURBO. Turbo will shorten the life of the engine but not a CAI Intake. Having a CAI AEM is actually better for our engine as it breathes better meaning less stress. That is why when the engine is breathing better, some gain of around 10-20hp is improved. Correct me if I am wrong. But if you change your mind let us know to include you.

So Chewi are you still in??? If so, I hope G5 will still honour us that price if your happy with it.

I'm still in ... i hope freddy will get it with us too so that we can still get that deal.

BTW.. i agree with ED that the intake will not damage your engine.

the only damage that could happen is if you drive your car in a flooded area.
