Team Acurazine? Attn: Mods

MODS- I was just going to pre-register for some NOPI shows and was wondering whether we should start a Nationwide car club and call it Team Acurazine. This way we can be represented and recognized. What do you all think?

maybe not a bad idea, i could get floor space at ALL NOPI events in exchange for letting them advertise their events here....

I just figured that we need to be represented and to start gettong some coverage. It would be nice to have a whole section for us at NOPI shows, to get to meet other AZ'ers. I plan on going to the NOPI Ntionals in ATL, and would love to meet othres in that large crowd. It would be easier if we were all together.

Thanks Astro! See ya in Windsor this summer, or Woodbine?

This is why I want to set up a AZ car club-so they can put us all together and be a major representation. Maybe we'll get to meet Charity Hodges!!!!

When I went a couple years ago the group I was with all roomed at the same hotel(besides locals).

We should look into a hotel near the track and try and reserve the necessary rooms,

I know I'm going to need one.

I also check the nopi nationals site and it's listing the dates for 2006

it doesn't look like they've released the 2007 dates for the nationals yet

Besides being together at the car show, the hotel would be another big advantage.

I'm trying to set up a NATIONAL Acurazine car club, then we can work on area sub-chapters ( kind of like the Good Guys Rod clubs). But until I hear from the higher ups, let's keep our fingers crossed we can set this up. And somewhere down the road have our own National Meet somewhere in the middle.

If you type in "nopi", then go to NDRA, then latest news, it shows 2007 schedule.

Let's just see what the legalities will be and how much work will be involved. I would love to be a major factor into getting this going forward. The MODS are looking into it. After we get the National group set, we can work on Regionals.

my previous post had a link labeled "Event Schedule" but that was only the events you could register for

here's that link again http://register.nopi.com/

and if you click on it and then click VIEW EVENT INFORMATION it will show all show dates but it doesn't seem you can register for nationals yet

Yeah I saw that too. I was going to register for NOPI Michigan, and I even saw on one site that NOPI is coming back to Norwalk ( Ohio ) in October. 1osunut has to defend his trophy. I think they're may be a set time frame to register.

I'm trying to make it just myself right now, but the wife wants to go, and have her sister fly up from Florida to meet us (so she has someone to be with). But I'm trying to tell her to go to Florida while I'm in ATL. Kinda hard to flirt with the honeys with the wife there.
