Sunday, July 24th Massachusetts Meet

Mod edit by greenie:

Date: Sunday, July 24th
Time: 12:30pm
Location: Constitution Beach in East Boston
Website: Constitution Beach

I would like to make this an all car enthusiast meet, so please invite all your friends. I have already made a post at the following forums: Integra, Subaru and RSX. Please do the same and get people excited about the meet. Lets make this a fun one.

So our good friend ferizzo (Freddy) is leaving us for good ole NC (I think that's where he's going, LOL). So its been a few weeks since we had our last big MA Meet and I know there were people who missed out on that meet so lets have another meet.

Fudruckers in Saugus, MA was a great place to meet because there were space for everyone to park in one area. I definitely would do up Fudruckers again if that's where people wanted to have it.

Any other suggestions?

And right now, I say the meet will be on Sunday July 17th or Sunday July 24th.

What are people's thoughts?

WIL

Damn Freddy, didn't know so many people didn't like you...LOL jp

Obviously people don't want to meet up again at Fudruckers.

How about a BBQ at a park or something? Change it up a little. I need some ideas on where a good place to have BBQ would be.

I hear you on that one. I wouldn't mind driving somewhere a little farther, where its less crowded and space for us to BBQ and stuff.

I'm in Southeastern MA, I would def like to go to a meet. I've never been to one. The July 24th meet would work better for me. Let me know when and where. Is it possible to keep in the Boston area? Thx.

Alright, lets make it July 24th. Place to be determined. We could go back to Fudruckers, but I'm thinking a BBQ atmosphere would be better. Now we need to figure out a nice public camp site or beach to have it. Its only 3 weeks away so lets start brainstorming people.

haha...I'm flattered Wil! I was just about to check to see if anyone was organizing a meet when I saw the title (and I knew not too many people liked me!)

The 24th works best for me since I will be in Chicago on the 17th. I am game for whatever so just let me know when and where and I will be there.

Well, I just posted on 2 other different forums to let people know about the meet and to see what locations people come up with. I'm thinking that we should try to determine a location by early next week to give people time to plan for it.

btw. spread the word just like last time. I don't know if its possible, but I'd like to see more than 30 cars.

To my fellow Massholes...
and Ferizzo..(don't think we've met...but what a nice way to meet on your last day in this road torn state!!!)

anyways...

I have a suggestion for a place to meet...

CONSTITUTION BEACH IN EAST BOSTON...

-BIG LOT [SECTIONED INTO LIKE 3 or 4 SECTIONS SO WE CAN EASILY HAVE OUR OWN LITTLE AREA]
-ON THE WATER WITH A GRASSY FIELD BETWEEN THE LOT AND THE WATER.
-HAS SOME BENCHES FOR PEOPLE TO CHILL AND EAT [BUT WOULD RECOMMEND TO BRING THEIR OWN CHAIRS AS WELL]
-THE BACK DROP IS LOGAN AIRPORT...YOU CAN SEE PLANES TAKING OFF AND LANDING [I AM SENSING SOME SERIOUS PICTURES AT THIS PLACE]

I WORK OVER AT LOGAN AND I'VE BEEN DOWN TO THAT BEACH A FEW TIMES...IT'S A NICE PLACE...

VIRTUALBONG - SEND ME A PM, MAYBE WE CAN SETUP A TIME TO GO CHECK OUT THE PLACE SEE IF ITS SUITED FOR A MEET!! better yet, her's my AIM SN...Means17

Sorry about CAPS...didn't realize it till now and i am not typing over...

looking forward to meetin' some of you, I did miss the last meet...

Sounds like the perfect place. I'm just worried that it'll be pretty packed on a Sunday, especially if its hot. Maybe I'll go check it out this Sunday if I have time.

Oh, my schedule on the weekends are really chaotic so if I do have time to go on Sunday, it'd be pretty random and if I'm in the area. I'll IM you though if I do end up going beforehand.

Yeah, my friend with a G, said that the Z and G owners already have two meets that day. Is this Wicked CAS just for Zs?

Well, I think we can still gather up a good crowd for our own little meet. I'm going to try and check out Constitution Beach this Sunday to see how crowded it gets and get back to everyone. Would East Boston work for people if this was the place?

BTW, I will be at waterworks this Sunday once again. $20 cover but I should be able to hook you guys up with free beer. IM me if interested.

I'm also working at some place called the Castle or Castle Bar tomorrow doing some Maxim party. I think it might be guest list only but might be worth checking out if any of you guys are in the area (I'll post more info later).

As to not hijack this thread just IM me if interested.

I also think a place in central/ western MA would be a good idea to try and get more Acura owners from CT, RI, NH and surrounding states to attend the meet. This was mentioned earlier in the thread so I still think it should be considered an option=)

I'd be up for that. Is the Hopkinton State Park in Central/Western Mass?

Not to complicate things but some of the 350Z cats asked if we were interested in meeting in NH with their meet. I honestly don't really feel like driving all the way up there but wouldn't be against it either. Just another suggestion. HSP might be a nice idea.

I would be up for it if they were having a good outing. Isn't their meet sponsored? So that would be a fun event to go to.

Anyone interested??? We could all meet at one location beforehand and drive up together.

Well, I'm liking the NH meetup more and more since there's going to be a free car show up there and free food and drinks. Here's a link to it: Wicked C.A.S. Car Show

What do you guys think? If not too many people would go to this, then we can scrap it, but this makes the meet a little more interesting than others since we can look at some show cars after checking out our own.

For interested people, please try to respond to the thread since a lot of people I think work off who says they're going rather than just coming.

It is pretty far...about 50 miles, which is a haul for a lot of people who just want to come for a quick shout out and then leave.

I'm still up for a BBQ meet instead, but I figured this would be a nice option for people since some get a little bored with the same old parking lot meets.

I'm up for the NH meet if others are willing to go as well. 50 miles ain't too badd...especially with a bunch of Acura's cruising up.

I personally think the BBQ meet would work out better, either at HSP or east boston.

ok, devil's advocate...what time is this meet in NH? reason I ask is that maybe some peeps want to do a BBQ in the early afternoon and then those that are interested can then cruise on up to the NH meet. Just a thought.

I'd prefer something local but might be down for cruise on up afterwards.
