They were originally saying chances of rain both days and now it has changed.

 

Weather.com says 40% chance of rain Saturday. Let's just do Sunday.

 

So Sunday is still a question mark with the weather, but is Saturday definitely out ???
If so, I’m gonna make other plans for Friday night since I don’t have to stay home and clean the car up.

Are you guys still planning on doing the Header install? If so, let me know what tools I need to bring.
I still say this is NUTS to attempt in the middle of a parking lot without the aid of air tools.
That car is a Gen 1 with 3+ years of corrosion on the exhaust system.

Yea Sat is out because there is a 50% chance of rain. Sunday is looking better at this point and i think we should just commit to it. UPS says it is coming today.

 

yea im gonna have to agree with shawn about the headers, that's more of a driveway project when you have tons of time. We'll forget it. I gotta figure out when/where/how to install them

 

Ok kids, so whats the scoop. Saturday is definetly out I imagine. My plans seem to be changing for Sunday, but unsure still. Scoop?

hah! woot! yea i have mesh for making grilles, it's different than gutter guard. It's plastic, but when you paint it with chrome model paint, it looks much better than the flimsy metal stuff, and it doesnt cut your hands, and it doesn't bend/rust. here's a pic

I washed the car earlier and she’s ready for the “Z-Treatment” tomorrow.

 

question: I'm bringing my ICEBOX in case somebody would be so kind to assist in the install. I also have a set of sways sitting in the den - can't see paying my local Acura dealer $360 for install. Don't really know what proper protocal is for these meets, but should I bring them along? oh ... washed Thursday, a coat of Z5 Thurs and Fri night, plan on 3 coats of Z2 tomorrow (today).

19 hrs or so! Blacura and myself should be there early so our cars can cool off. Everybody else can start to show up around 12 noon or so.

 

Cool off? for the ICEBOX install? And if so, how much time necessary for cool off? Oh, by the way, haven't seen u post ... did your's finally show up?

 

The Z-Job is done and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

The roads better dry up by morning or I’m bringing the wife’s RAV4.

I’ve got my “mobile install kit” packed into the trunk consisting of:
Floor Jack
Jack Stands
Socket Set
Torque Wrench
Cleaning Supplies
Chair to relax in while you guys SWEAT

FYI… My Torque Wrench is a 1/2" drive, but most of my sockets are 1/4 or 3/8.
If anyone has a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter or 1/2 sockets, bring them along.

I also brought several 3/8 extensions for getting that pesky resonator bolt through the wheel well on the CAI install.

PS…. I installed my newest exterior “mod” today.
We’ll see if anyone spots it tomorrow.

Hints:
It cost me ZERO dollars, but has a possible “value” of 30-grand.
It took 2 minutes to build and 10 seconds to install.
