Yeah, I'm not too familiar with RI, but I just google mapped some directions for people from the Boston area.

Basically we need to go down I-95 south........take exit #4 onto I-295 south towards Warwick RI/Woonsocket........then merge onto I-95 south and keep going till we get to NY/NJ.

Is providence before exit #4?

Nope, after... 295 is the way around providence...

You can forget the 295 deal... To get to NJ by 11, we'll have to leave early, so going straight thru providence on 95 (instead of going around providence on 295) won't be a problem... Traffic on a saturday morning should be light...

there aren't any service/rest areas off 95 south anywhere through RI, if memeory serves me right, and the first rest area is in CT after exit 92. first service center/rest area off 95 is after exit 62 in CT.

I figured I should add my name to the mix eventhough I am on the other list in the main thread.

As I was telling C0v3r (thanks again for the FTP access Big Homie.. file is currently loading so NIko and Joe should have it later today!), I may be heading down Friday night to get a heads up.. I dont think I want to drive there Sat morning , hangout, chill.. and then drive back. But after reading this thread then maybe I will just DO THAT....depends on what the majority says. Dudes, just make it easy for yourselves and run into the first McDonalds Rest area in CT EARLY in advance at a specified time.. it's as simple as that. lol And then we all roll down. You'll notice other fleets of other AZ members as we head into NYC... I ran into a few a couple of times on the way to Brooklyn. Mind you, the dudes from MA won't have a problem, but your Rhode Islanders will have to keep up with ny traffic.. remember this. We can't let this cruise turn into a rescue mission. lol!

i would hope so i grew up there, parents still live off exit 62 in CT And good thing i went to college in Mass, so if i can drive up there i can drive in nyc..lol

It was originaly 820megs, i was going to recompress it with either xvid or divx but figured some people might not have those codecs so i left it the way it is. Also if you have any other raw footage you want to share email me also and i'll send u the ftp link i set up to upload files

for those of you who have the divx codec, i also added that file too, so you can chose which one you want. The divx encoded file is only 88megs, and you don't see a lose of quality.

Hmm, heres a thought for meeting spots:

-MASSACHUSETTS people meet up at the rest area on 95 south right after the 495 underpass


-Then we need the RI, CT people to come up with a good spot to meet up with them as we roll down 95?

For RI,CT people it should be either the 1st or last service area in CT. Depends if theres anyone meeting us from southern CT. So either the rest area right after exit 62 in CT.. Or if theres others meetin up closer to the NY border, then probably one on in Darien around exit 10 i belive.

I know the Foxwoods exit is 92.....is 62 a lot further down?? Cuz us MA people can pretty much meet up with the others anyywhere on 95 south

This is the same rest area we met at before the Colt State Park run. Works for me. We should make decisions on the following iteme:

1. Time to meet at the 95 South Rest area. We also need a scheduled time to leave here as well. Maybe even a list of peeps meeting here?

2. Where and what time to meet the RI/CT folkes. Maybe this can be left to just a "where"!!!

From the RI/CT Border to exit 62, without traffic is like a 35 minute ride. So probably 30 minutes from 92-62.

From the MA border, depends what border you are coming from, if its on 95 then you're looking at tops an hour and a half maybe. I know i can make it from exit 62 in CT to the Providence airport in just under an hour.

Just watch out right before the new london bridge in groton, cops always like to sit before and after that bridge as well as before and after the old saybrook bridge. Also sometimes you'll catch one sitting at exit 63 south.

I think we should start a new thread with a better title in here, so we can get a better grip on who is coming and where they are coming from. Something to the affect of CT,RI,MA RonJon Cruise Down To Meet
