Sacramento Meet #4 - Saturday July 14th
It's on for the usual place and time (Starbucks at Hwy 99 & Bond Rd in Elk Grove at 9AM), unless q2killer (he of the most pimpage ride ) can suggest a better meeting place in the Roseville area. :p
The usual agenda: BS and check out our rides for an hour or so, take off for a couple hour road trip, then back to Mel's Diner for afternoon lunch and road trip debrief session.
Any other local or Bay Area CL/TLs are welcome to join our humble meet in "semi-civilized" Sacratomato.
We should probably do a different road course this time so we don't wear out our welcome (or press our luck) on the Sac river road...suggestions welcome. I'm thinking perhaps something off Jackson Hwy, Latrobe Rd, Green Valley Rd...something out in eastern unincorporated portions of Sac county.
Post here if interested.

Thanks for the invite, but I can't make it on the 28th...I have to go to a co-worker's wedding. Given the choice, I'd still rather spend the 2+ hours it would take driving I80 & Hwy 101 to get to the bay area doing some spirited driving on an uncrowded Sacratomato-area country road instead.

q2: No chance I can make it...the wedding is at Tahoe south shore at 2 PM...probably won't be back here until after 8PM or so. Even if the LAN party was still happening then, I'd be worthless fragbait.
Red: The tint looks great. 20% tint is not that overly dark looking out of the car from within, but it's nice and dark when you are outside looking in.
Sunday afternoon is OK, I'm just not sure what time. I've got a few errands to run in the early afternoon, not sure what time I'll be back. I was gonna call you this afternoon on the way back from the shop but I don't have your home phone number. Do you want to email it to me or try and hook up during next week after work?

I saw it with my wife a couple weeks ago. I really didn't think it wasn't all that bad as I had heard. My wife even liked it. I guess I was expecting it to be worse. To be sure, it is no tour de force (sp?) of great acting, but the plot is passable if not entirely believable, and the cars are pretty trick.
Did any of you varmintz :p have any ideas for the road trip?

I'm planned on heading down to Sacto this weekend.. was gonna head up Saturday afternoon.. 9AM is pretty early though..
I'll know for sure if I am going or not by Wed or Thur.. depends on what I have to do down there.. but most likely, I'll try to make it.

Yeah drop by now and then. Don't actually bring my pc. Have a friend (Glen Graham) that goes. I have a network party about 4-6 times a year with friends etc. We coordinate them and get together at each other's houses. Ranging from 14 - 28 people. Much more personal then the 100+ lan parties of Lantrocity. But I may go sometime. Do you go?

Yeah, I usually go to Lantrocity... Kevin Roe sits right next to me at work and I've been going since there was only like 15 of us.
I'm a pretty hard core gamer (when I can make the time for it)
We should meet up at one. How old are you BTW

I have been thinking of going lately. But I forget about it and then I pass it on the weekend and remember that I wanted to go. I am 28. I live in Roseville by Denios...
Where do you work?

I work at HP off of Foothills. I try to go but usally have something going on that weekend so I have to plan it at least a month in advance. I think I may have seen you driving around yesterday. If so, your car is pimp!

H4mm3rm4n said that if you wanted to come to the meet that we could meet in Roseville instead of Elk Grove. Do you know of any nice places to take a drive around here?

Yeah, I am perm but no we're not hiring at the moment. I think that the only people that we have hired lately are contractors and that is only in the bay area and in Atlanta.
Yeah, I was driving around yesterday and my CL-S is Silver and Stock besides an intake. Hopefully, I can change that soon enough. I've had my eye on a Z06 so who knows...

Sounds like you wont be able to make it to the meet this weekend, Ash. But getting a new house is cool. And congratulations, of course, on getting married.
We should come up with a date for the August meet at our meet this Saturday, so everyone has ample time to check/clear their calendars.

Jacobian: the place is the Starbuck's at Hwy 99 & Bond Road in Elk Grove. It would be great if you could make it.
As for you Jim, P1mpd@ddy, you'd love him to be there not just to check out his car, but so you get your promised free lunch too!
BTW, I expect to be "strutting my stuff" at the meet. I got the Neuspeed upper strut bar that I ordered a couple days ago, and I will install it this evening.

Hey Sacto dudes, we should discuss a group buy on a G-Tech. They're about $139. $25 a piece and we can move it around. I mean how often would you need to use it. Anyway if you're interested let's do it and be prepared to put up your share. I'm in.
