Possible Meet and Track date.

So sauceman, dan, and I were talking about Shannonville, and we're curious about if any other members would be interested to go? Of course not now since our beloved snow is about to fall. I was thinking around end of April or beginning of May. As for pricing, well it depands on how many people are going. Of course, more the better.
There are 2 differnet times for differnet pricing. Here goes....

For a weekday Fabi Track. The pricing is...
Fabi $2300+GST=$2461.00 and they require a 50% deposit.

For a weekend Fabi Track. The pricing is...
Fabi $3400+GST=$3638.00 and they require a 50% deposit.

But if the pricing isn't good. Here's the better part. If we go on evenings 6pm-9pm, the pricing is
Fabi $275/hour but minimum 2 hours. If we're going to book we might as well book for 3 cause there is no point for 2.

Here's a picture of the track.

The reason why I want to book Fabi because it's most suitable for street cars. The full track requires more!!!

If you want more info just click here

Yeah, the 3-hour deal sounds good to me. Depending on the date, I'd be in.

Hmm..since it's still too early. I'm not too sure yet but you have any suggestions? btw, I just checked last night for Fabi day time. And the whole month of April is BOOKED already. So if we go April, we have to go evenings.

I'm not going to race my 5AT, sounds like fun though. Where is Shannonville?

Are there any indoor karting tracks in or near Toronto? If you ever make it to Motown - meet you at Kart2Kart.

Shannonville is only 2 hours drive east from Toronto. And I've seen people race with AT. We're going there to have fun. NOT to compete and try to win a championship or something.

Yep, it's not a race, it's more of an oportunity to test you and your car's capabilities. Should be a lot of fun.

Jeff, I'm fine with nights.

Hmmmm...if we can drum up more interest, I'd be willing to cough up some dough for the cause. I can probably get away with spending $250 CAN without too much hassle from Mrs.

We visit Toronto pretty often, but this would be a 5 hour drive from Motown - so I would have to make it a weekend event.

If you do a weekday night - post some pics and track times....my money is on Kleinubing.

Well the some TL guys are interested to go too. But I don't want this to be over 25 cars cause even if you take half which is about 12 or 13 cars on a 2.23KM track at the same time, it's going to get crowded!!!

Yes but so far I've only informed CL, TL, and TSX. It's still too early to determind anything for now. And no I haven't posted anything on ClubRSX cause then we'll probably have 50+ cars going.

If it works out well for an evening, then maybe a complete day with those other communities could be in order.

I guess we'll see then..

Why we can't get things like this together in Texas is beyond me. Track days are one of the things I beg for.

Alright. I just checked and April isn't fully booked yet but from May to August is pretty much fully booked.

May 1st is a Sunday and that evening isn't booked yet.

hmmm I wonder what's a better track car? It might be close but I think the SE-R might have the edge.

It's total so more cars (15-20) would be best!!!
There is an event on April 24th and it's $45 pre-pay, also helmet is a must. Time is 5:30-dawn.

5:30 AM till dawn? Now that's really interesting! Do you have any more infos about that event?

What does it consist of?

Obviously, if we're only gonna be three, 275/hr is somewhat steep.

I'll try and get more info but the guys that are running it all have pretty damn fast cars (STis, S2Ks, Civics, tegs, all with crazy mods) and they're too serious i think. (usually helmet isn't a must) Anyhow, I'll get my friend to email me the detail and I'll post them up.
I think just us 3 at shannonville wouldn't be fun at all.

Well then, we'll have to promote the idea, and when we get more folk interested, set up a date.
