1st Annual End of the Summer ACURA CL meet.

12:30 pm - until

Meet starts at the mall parking lot at 12:30pm, so we can all gather and check out the rides, then around 2pm, we head down towards Annapolis for a late lunch/early supper, then up to Baltimore for an evening cruise through the stresst so the world knows we exist!

We cold do the lunch thing in Baltimore and then head to Annapolis, but the majority would have to rule on this.

Guys, bring a few dollars for food and bring all your friends!

And the final rule is DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

You can count this nova cls in on that one. i just need to get and adress of one of the stores there so i can punch it in on my navi. so if one of you guys live near by and can take down the street name and number of the store about where you wanna meet then im all good. i hope to see a good turn out lets try to make it a cl only event. im tired of seeing integras and civics. lets reprezent for the cls. :sqntfawk:

Well my G2 Legend is in the paint shop getting a custom paint job, but I could show up in the wifes G1 Legend (that some bastard just keyed, may be able to buff it out).

On a side note; any of you guys headinfg down to the NOPI Nationals? Legends are trying to make a major statement this year.

Einsatz - It'll be cool, I'm sure. The only way to ensure it doesn't suck though is to come with a great attitude and just have fun and relax. It ain't no official car show...

We should decide before the trip as to where people want to eat and to try to get a figure as to how many of us there are . if we all decide on one place to eat then are there is going to be a good number of us then maybe we should let them know we have a big crowd coming and if all of use are over 21 then maybe could go to dave and busters for a night cap. just a thought. We should really have the route and everything planed out befor we go and are just like uh where do you guys wanna go. :flamer: :flamer:

Dude's I'm in. I haven't got all my mods done yet, maybe by then my truck just blew up so gotta fix dat 2. But and address would be kewl I'll check the mall website. And route plans would be a good thing too... I'm from NOVA so I'll be there to help represent.

They usually put the Legends CLs TLs Vigors and RLs in the same area so we'll all be close. Last year we were on pavement but in 2000 we were on grass by a dirt road. The duster got a real work out that weekend. I hope you have your hotel room already, mine filled up 2 months ago.

I'm keeping the same body color (the rare phantom grey pearl), shaving the trunk emblems, body color the hood grill and last but not least ghost flaming the nose (long, thin and subtle silver dying into blue pearl tips). The painter ( a good one with several magazine cover cars) promised it would be ready for NOPI.

Dude, take your CL down and enter the show. It's cheaper than weekend admission for 2. Show entry is $65 and includes 2 admissions (the wife isn't into cars so I sell my second admission credentials). Show admission is $40 per person for the weekend, plus you have to walk in and don't have a chair and cooler sitting in the trunk. If you haven't been before, you NEED the whole weekend. Last year was 5600+ cars plus the vendors and GIRLS!!! Think of it as "premium parking", who cares if you take a throphy! That's my philosophy anyways. The judges didn't like my "lack of decals" last year and placed an "improperly repainted" car ahead of mine. So what. I had fun and got some good comments on my car from "women of my generation".

I'll have my sister and her family here from NC that weekend. I just may shanghi my brother-in-law, and come for part of the meet. I'll know more as we get closer.

im going to be at nopi my self. but i wont be in my whip im gunna go down on the supper street tour in my boys hatchback with a civic typer motor swap. so i will more than likely run in to you guys there.
it sounds like we are gunna have a good turn out for this meet. i hope we have a good showing. im looking forward to meeting you guys anf crusin with athe cl deep. im not sure you guys have read my thread about banners and what not, but if we did that we could show as a team in local events at M.I.R or where ever no one will be expecting the cl's to come out in force so we should drop the bomb on them..

I did the SST in 2000 and enjoyed it for the most part, but most of the guys were just plain old driving recklessly (100 MPH weaving in and out of rush hour traffic in Raleigh NC).

Be VERY carefull in NC, they get all their agencies out thursday night and friday morning. Local, county and state police for moving violations. DOT for equipment violations like clear tails, loud exhaust, obstructed windshields etc.

ok this went from NOVA/DC/MD meet to NOPI. Who's coming to the meet. What are we really doing? And somone please tell me in an email brian.clarke@cta.com what I need for NOPI actually everyone tell me.... I don't wanna spend eighty bucks, but my CL is in no way a show car do I enter it neway?

If you are coming with a significant other or friend and plan on spending both days then enter. You'll save $15 on admission plus have a place to crash (chair, canopy and cooler in the trunk) inside the track. The only drawback is the line early in the morning.

So you save $15. Have a place inside to crash/rest/load the goodies you bought. Who cares what the judges say. My experience is they're not that swift to start.

Last year a bone stock RL lined up with the Big Bodied Acuras (that's how we get classed) and all they did was come back to the car to grab a few more beers out of the trunk. Believe me, having your car inside makes a whole different experience.

Maybe the Intersection of Ridge Rd & Ridge Chapel Rd? That should work.

Well what does the turnout look like at this point.? when i get hom i will punchte the streets in my navi and see if the have tem on my disc.?? have any of you hook up dvd to your navi screen yet i heard the is a direct plugin for the screen to run dvds on it but i dont know who makes it or howmuch it cost? and have the made a dash kit four the gen 2 cls yet?

Ok... So Anne Arundel Mills Mall. I have had time to put my mods on yet. I have gotten a CAI and I'm scheduled to have the headers back done from a local guy before NOPI. Also... Where can I find a shift boot for my cl.. that looks kewl...

I've got a big ass hit and run dent on the passenger side that I have no plans on getting repaired right now since the estimate came in at $1200. But my dented car and I hope to make it there on the 31st. My parents' anniversary is on the 30th so I need to plan that stuff out first.

juice momo makes a shift boot that screws right onto there nobs in a few colors i think there are a couple ofmore companys that ake some but i cant remember off the top of my head

The plan is for us to meet up at the mall, check out each others rides, get a few tips, pointers, ideas from each other, then cruise a little on the streets to show off our cars. Eat and have a few beers and sodas to finish the evening off. Maybe, hang around Jillians if you guys don't mind and just act like kids in the Midway/Arcade they have.

dajucie i liked the idea of cruising thre bmore wll all of you guys . but i dont know how far away weare gunna be i think it would be cool to do a li drive on the belt way then into bmore. if you guys are cool wit these then step up and speek. i like your other ideas i just ddnt want to go for a 10min cruse on local streets. its more fun crusing than just standing around. dont get me wrong im looking foward to meeting you guys and checkng out your cars. Its just a thought

I thought about it, but I'll be taking the following 2 weekends off to hit the beach in OC.

My employers wouldn't go for three weeks in a row (they have to hire someone to cover for me--I'm a therapist [cha-ching]).

BTW: This means I won't be going to NOPI! :'(

well have we thought about where we are gunna go crusin. if we hang around untill 2 then we will have only lost one but if we dont then we lose 2. hmmm. i think from reading all the people on here the head count from the people that really talk on here is some where between 10-15 but i dont know if there are people that are looking at this page and not replying. well im gunna have some more engine bay paint work done this weekend i hope for the meet i just have to get my roomate off his ass and have hime paint some more shit. it will be tricky but i hope i can accomplish this.

I was all about coming to the meet, however I didn't realize that is the last weekend in August...HUGE Dewey Beach weekend...and in case you haven't read any of my previous 100 posts (hell yeah! ) that is where I spend all my nights/weekends...

so that is where I will be
