Hey Folks from NY, NJ, PA, DE, and perhaps Maryland/DC area...

BBQ & Cruise @ Bear Mountain

It's been too long since i've seen some of you guys. So I was thinking about a get together for a cruise, I was thinking by Bear Mountain. Take some pictures/video's.

I'll call everyone I know who dont usually come online and try and make this a good time. The usual crew will be going and hopefully everyone from the Philly area can make it out, along with NY, North Jersey, Central, and deep south jersey can also make it.

We will all meet up on the Jersey turnpike Rest Stop "Joyce Kilmer" (between Interchanges 8A and 9) then head to exit 9 (New Brunswick to meet the Lexus IS300 crew) and head straight up to New York.

im up for a cruise. but im all the way up by exit 14 on the turnpike. i could just meet up with you guys somewhere, if thats possible.

hmm if you guys are going to bear mountain, will you guys be taking turnpike and then onto the palisades parkway? or go from turnpike to garden state parkway all the way up?

Just a suggestion for the North Jersey guys you may want to stop at the Vince Lombardi rest stop and meet up with them at around 10:30..It really shouldn't take that long to get there from the Joyce Kilmer stop.

Well if you are coming down to Honda Day , Bear Mtn is kinda on the way back home for you. It is in NY. If you are going down to Honda Day you would take exit 9 of the turnpike so the meeting spot is in that area.

You can search for Hotels or Motels in East Brunswick that is right by Englishtown and right by the Turnpike also.

This Lexus crew is a very mature crew. They'll welcome your company and trust me, they wont be making any wiseass remarks. 95% of them used to own Honda and Acura. Also, this will be a cruise not a bragging competition.

i'm really lookin forward to seeing modified/custimized TL's out there. Mine is completely stock and probalby will be for a while, but seeing other ppls rides would help inspire/motivate me and give me a taste of what i like and dont like.

OK. August 13 is rolling in just about 3 weeks. So here are some updates on what we plan to do.

The Lexus crew and I are planning to meet at our normal meeting location at the palisades mall in the commuter lot across from home depot, then drive from there and get on palisades parkway north and take it to exit 17 to Bear Mountain for a BBQ. We will BBQ there and take pictures, then we go for a nice moutain cruise up there.


INFORMATIONS:
Anthony Wayne Recreation Area and Bear Mountain Park are situated in the Harriman State Park, and are about 40 miles north of NYC.

For those coming from NJ, take either I-287 or the Garden State Pkwy to Palisdaes Pkwy north, and off at exit 17. For those coming from Long Island, NYC boroughs and Westchester, take the Tappan Zee Bridge west to Palisades Pkwy north, and off at exit 17. For those coming from Connecticut, take I-84 west to I-684 south to Tappan Zee Bridge west to Palisades Pkwy north, and off at exit 17.


OR those who are from South Jersey or not far from Central Jersey. You could meet up with us at the Palisade Mall like directed above.

This will be a BBQ so please bring contribute. Put your name after the selections you wish to bring. Let's all take a category. But if you do take the category, make sure you bring the stuff and don't call out the last minute. We'll be depending on you.
