Damn sorry dude. I hate to say this but the real bitch about your wreck is that it's probably not totalled and now you'll have a salvaged tag. Make sure you sue their insurance company for the lost value of your car. Get a good lawyer. I'm still having a headache from some cavalier deciding to pick a fight with my old Xterra.

Huh? The only way to be considered salvaged is if the car IS totaled.

If it does not cost more to fix the car than the overall value of the car, then it is repaired and not tagged as a salvaged vehicle.

Generally, a car that has "salavaged" on it's title is because the car WAS considered totaled and somebody (third party, not the original owner or his insurance company) bought it at a huge discount and fixed it anyway. Legally, it must have "salvaged" on the title.

as long as you get the adjusted diminished value settlement from your insurance, all is okay, because your paint wont be hard to match and now a days they can do some crazy repairs on cars these days...and good thing is that the front is not damaged, so your engine and such are still very good...well good luck with the insurance company, I just side swiped my whole drivers side and needs a repaint on the entire left side of my car and my car is almost 3 years old and silver paint which is hard to match...so im anxiously waiting for my car...:o
