What's Virginia's legal tint limit? I was thinkin of going 30%'s all around? Safe or no?

VA TINT limit is

35% back and 50% front two windows.... i have 35% all the way around and ive only gotten pulled ones.... well thats with blk on blk car ..... so yeah u should be save with 35% all the way around

Just make sure that it is no more than 35%. I told my "tint guy" that I wanted 35% all the way around (not windshield of course) figuring that I can get away with it. Got pulled over for my tint on my REAR windows. Cop tested it with her meter, turned out to be 26.2%. I was like "What!?"

Damn Dave...that sux you got pulled over for that much off. Where was this at? I've never been pulled over for my tint, but I also have Texas plates. I know mine is probably around 20% but I am not sure because it was already on the car when I bought it.

The % of the tint is NEVER correct. I have 20% all around and my car is white with 20's which means I am a cop magnet. The meter said my tints were 17%. I live in Newport News and work in Chesapeake and the police is ALWAYS on the road in the morning so they got me nervous. I might lower the front to 35% but thats still illegal. Watch out for police on the highways near Thomas Nelson, Hampton Coliseum, H.U., Indian River, and Battlefield. This is my route to work and I see them all the time and received my tickets around these areas. Be careful people.

It was at night time here in Bad News. She said that when she first saw it, she could tell it was too dark. Then she tested it to be sure. I think that they may have been looking for someone else. She asked if I was military. I said retired. Someone else told me that she asked that because a lot of military guys like to hook up their rides, thought maybe I had out of state plates on it before.
