i'm gonna b down in Howell for X-mas as usual visiting with relatives on the 25th, and im staying over, so i figured on the way home, im driving up Route 9 past the Freehold Mall, so y not have a X-mas get-together at either the Barnes & Noble across the street from the mall or the Chili's right next to B&N...any takers??? this will b sometime in the early afternoon, like 2, 3 maybe.

Dude I would do it but since it is the day after christmas and I haven't been home in quite a while I don't know if I will end up. Also the traffic over the GWB going and coming will drive a person like me insane, If you want to do something later in the vacation like in Westchester County or in Long Island or even down in Freehold again. But it will take an hour to get over the bridgeo n the 26th.

hmmm, wheres freehold mall???? I've never actually been to route 9. I have that day off so I could probably make it if i know how to get there.

piece of cake...first off, Freehold is in Monmouth County...ok prob the EASIEST way to do it is depending on where u're coming from, take the Turnpike to exit 7, which is I195...take that EAST (Shore Points is the general direction u're headed)...bout 10-15 minutes until u hit Route 9...take Route 9 NORTH for about 5 - 10 minutes, and it'll b on your right...u'll know u hit Freehold Raceway when u physically see the track on your right...u go under a small bridge, and Barnes & Noble is off to your right...Chili's is next to B&N, so make a right at the light.

as an alternate route, Route 33 basically runs perpendicular to Route 9, so when 33 and 9 meet, u're right at the Raceway Mall, but u will have to do a little jockey'ing around...if u can get on Route 33 if u're in the north, than this will save u time goin all the way down to I195 and coming back up.

Mapquest has a pretty good map if u just type in Freehold, NJ in the maps section.

actually its the mall right on Rt9? If it is, I can get on Rt 1 & 9 in jersey city by the tunnel... And just keep going until i hit the mall then i guess, is that right? hehe, everyday i regret not getting a navi.

close to an hour from NYC if u take Rt. 9 all the way down...go to Outerbridge (440) to Rt. 9...be careful NOT to get on Garden State
