Kansas City Area Meet 8/6/05
Saturday August 6th, Shawnee Mission Park, at 2:00 PM.
We will meet at the park and then cruise for something to eat or get ice cream. The park is located off of 87th street. I will try to reserve a certain shelter for us. I will also start the PM's to all the area members if anyone wants to help me. Lets get this done!

Ummm uhhh...hold on there tiger...lol...lets not just jump into this. 
I DO agree we need a meet sometime soon, and I know something I havnt told anyone yet, (which is why im sure u posted this, because you didnt know what I was going to say)
BUT....
I've got a friend whos over on the Clubrsx boards...The RSX's have a huge local group here (wish it was the same for the CLs) Anyway, one of the rsx guys dad works at Jay Wolfe Acura and I guess is pretty high up there. Anyway, his dad and him are in the works of planning an ALL ACURA meet at the dealership. Food, Music, Prizes, etc. I just wasnt going to menchon anything until they had finalised their plans. We still could do a small local KC CL only meet, but I think we all definitly need to plan in showing and representing the CL's at this other meet. (hopefully if it works out... )
Im sure there will be CL's, RSX's, TL's, RL's, Legends, etc.
(lol which BTW got me thinkin about how Jay Wolfe owes me anyway because I saved his SeaDoo @ the lake...We should definitly have this giant meet.
I'll keep an eye out and post more info as things progress and finalise over at RSX about this giant meet. Heres the post from ClubRSX:
My dad and I want to host a HUGE ASS ACURA MEET! ANYONE WITH ACURA's IS WELCOME! Come and show the cars and have a kick ass time, food, music, all the good's. Well, CJ, that sounds cool. But I sick of fuckin around with these ifs, ands, and buts. We need to get it goin. Let me know when you have a sure thing. AND, I know school is starting soon and people like yourself are going to be leaving home again for the school year. Lets just do it. I am jumpin in, bc no one else will and I want a meet damn-it!

I already back in Lawrence for school by then.. I probably could make it back for this though.. it depends on all the appointments and shit I'll have to be doing to get myself moved in

We will meet in the parking lot next to Shelter 12. I was unable to reserve a shelter, so we can see what is avaiable the day of.
From I-435 exit at 87th St
Go West to Renner Rd
Turn North on Renner Road
Turn Left Into Park Entrance
Turn Right Once Into Park
Follow Road all the way to stop sign
Turn Right at stop sign
Turn left at the next road, this will be parking for shelter #12

Aug 6th huh...well crap....Wont have my CF hood, wont have my rear lip, wont have my new rims, I *MIGHT* be lowered w/ new rotors...probably not...

I'll be down that weekend....but I don't know if I'll be driving the CL
my sister & brother-in-law and I are going to be taking a truck down to bring a queen size mattress/box spring & a 27" TV back
if for some reason I follow them down in my car, I'll try to stop by before we head back

Any word on potential turnout yet? I'd like to make it down, but its a long long day of driving, and if there arn't going to be many i may take the time to clean this god forsaken apartment.

alright...i'll be there. Hey, anyone know of a DIY "car wash bay" near Shawnee Mission Park?? I might be drivin in from Lawrence and I'd like to spray off the car before I get there. (otherwise, my whole front end will be bug splattered from K10)
