Hi Everyone,
With the DC Metro area being as big as it is, there are lots of car clubs you may not have heard of. One of them, the VW Driver's Club, is a young club much like CapitalAudi and is starting to do their own events. Saturday, June 21st, they will be sponsoring a charity drive in Loudoun County, VA. All that you need to donate is one non-perishable food item. If you forget the food, a money donation is also acceptable. VW Driver's Club has graciously invited us to join them on their "'casual & scenic' drive through rural Loudoun County. Our route will take us through 85 miles worth of Loudoun's countryside, including the mountain that the president likes to hide in."

What: Caravan to VW Driver's Club Charity Drive
When: Saturday, June 21st at 10 am (Rain date is June 22nd)
Where: Behnke Nursery in Potomac, MD
Who: Audi/BMW/Porsche/VW Drivers and Friends
Bring: One Non-Perishable Food item and your F.R.S. Radio and a Camera!

For those coming on the drive as part of CapitalAudi, you have 2 options:

-If you live in NoVA, you can meet directly at the starting point in Loudoun County by 11 am.
-If you live in DC/MD, you can meet in Potomac, MD at 10 am, from where a caravan will drive up River Rd., cross White's Ferry ($3 per vehicle), and meet at the starting point.

Directions for the Northern Virginia folks:

The starting point for the drive is Loudoun County High School... to get there from NoVA...

From Rt. 7 (Leesburg Pike): Take Rt. 7 West towards Leesburg, VA. When you reach the Leesburg City Limits, you will go under a bridge, and past three stoplights. The road will come to a "Y" at the top of a hill. Turn left at the "Y." This will lead you into Old Town Leesburg. Go through the next stoplight. About 3-4 blocks after the light you will see a fire station on your left. Take the next left onto Dry Mill Rd. Go to the next light and Loudoun County High School will be across the intersection on your right.

From the Dulles Toll Road (Rt. 267): Continue on the toll road (Dulles Greenway) to the end. When you near the end get into the left lane (Rt. 7 West, Rt. 15 South). After the off ramp, stay in the merge lane and take the first exit: Rt. 15 North/Business. At the second stoplight, make a left onto Catoctin Circle. Go to the next stoplight. Loudoun County High School will be across the intersection on your left.

Directions for the DC/Maryland folks:

The starting point for the caravan is the Behnke Nursery in Potomac, MD on River Road close to Rockville. If you are coming with the caravan you will need to arrive by 10 am at Nursery to ensure enough time for the drive to the ferry and the river crossing.

From 495: Take the 495 North to Exit 39-River Road-Potomac West. Follow River Road West for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see a nursery on the right, The Behnke Nursery.
