I might be in on this meet. I have never been to Niagra Falls. This would be great, to get to see the falls, and to get to see all the sweet cars. I am in ohio, so it shouldn't be too long of a drive. Let me know where I can meet up with you guys, so i can start to make plans.

I have, I have posted on 2 Legend Boards, but there hasn't been much interest. Many people were skeptical about this meet happening or me being able to pull it off, but now it is ON. With some huge sponsors.

 

My sister is going to bring her crew from s2000international.com and I've invited the original H-A crew to join in on the fun too

Not taken control of this meet/event. It was my idea and my planning from the start. So I have always been the organizer.

If you look through the posts I posted a preliminary itinerary. As for Canadians, will meet you guys in Niagara Falls Canada Side Friday Night July 5th. We can hang out and party. Saturday is the meet, location is not definite yet, because Honda needs me to put together a summation for the event and what size turn out it will be. If it is huge enough, they may help us rent a Stadium to fit everyone and them. I am trying to get more sponsors to help cut cost. For everyone this is a free event, and I am doing alot of the work and I work full time. So please bare with me for delays periodically.

So are we still gonna hold two meets? (one on each side) If the stadium idea goes through, then there would be no need for a second meet, right?

 

Whether or not the stadium idea goes through here is what may happen:

1. After the meet in the US, many of us will caravan into NF Canada side to have a night meet there.

or 2. Have another meet set up with sponsors for a night event.

or 3. Sunday July 7th, be day 2 of this event but in Canada. I have to see because I may have Honda Motors Corp. of Canada as a sponsor.

 

Is it his affiliation with work or with the Sabbath? I'm bummed out because I can't go to this or the meet at Shea, which I would love to go to, because of my Saturday 'affiliations' as well. Wish it were on Sunday.

That is my affiliation as well. That's why it bugs me out that the meets are always on a Saturday, and it's why I suggested making it on a Sunday but for some reason the moderators took my post off.

I posted about two weeks ago that a Saturday afternoon at 4 was silly since it gets dark very soon after that, so make it Sunday at noon- and what happens? They make it Saturday at 2 and delete my post!!!

Laurelcrest, like Al said, you are confusing the meet. This thread is for the US/Canada meet, not this coming weekend meet. Either way, I doubt that a mod would close a thread because you wanted a meet on sunday. There is probably an explanation.

But anyways, if you want a meet on any sunday just set one up and see who can come. More than likely you will get a few like us that lives near each other so that would be no problem. Just make sure that your meet is not near any other meet date and vice versa.

 

Check again...your post was not deleted...it was merged into the Tri-State meet...your idea was taken into consideration...but the thing is, that this Sunday it's supposed to rain...and this Saturday the weather is supposed to be really nice around 50s...your post was not deleted...I rarely delete posts, unless some ask me specifically to do so.

Also I would like to really thank Albert for putting alot of effort into really making this meet happen! He did pitch the idea to me when we went up to canada before christmas, but i was really skeptical about it, since it's about a 6-700 mile drive...but hey...i'll be going...but damn I have to be back on the 8th...i will have class that day...

I wasn't really confusing the meets, since they are both on Saturdays. But it's all good, if and when there's a meet on a Sunday I'll be there!

 

Question to people that are setting up the whole ivent: Are we on our own with motel reservations, meaning that everyone on their own has to call and reserve motel/hotel, or someone will do it for us --> people that are defenetly going to the meet? Just asking, cause that will be a holiday weekend and motels/hotels will be full.

 

When you say the hotels will be full, you have no idea how full. July 4th weekend is HUGE at Niagra Falls. I went there last year, I think it was a Saturday night, and the lines to do anything were tremendous. I knew someone working the door at the Casino, otherwise it would have been a minimum two hour wait.

Definitely, definitely book ahead for lodging. There are a few nice hotels in the falls area, but if you can't get in there, there are hundreds (literally) of bed and breakfasts and motels in the area.

 

lets do hotel reservations on the canadian side of Niagra...

dont forget, you only have to be 19 to drink in canada..

 

...and the US $$ will get you farther on the Canadian side than on the American!
