i personally am not going to attend the next few summer events because they are shorter and it will be kinda pointless for me to drive from here to there. I think there might be 4 if we all attended, plus you.

Next drive set for 05.20.2006
This drive is going to be a little bit shorter (as in just over 100 miles rather than 140-160). We're going to meet at the usual spot, but we're going to be headed to Blanco this time. This route is similar to the route we did in January 2005. It's a fun route, has a nice stretch on 281, and will include lunch in Blanco.
For those of us that were on that drive in January, we did learn a few things:
Vipers have to stop for gas more frequently than a school bus full of Kindergarten kids need to hit the Potty.
The drive between Johnson City and Blanco takes about 7 minutes (even if it is ~17 miles).
Anyone that wants more details, check out www.hillcountrydrives.com and if you still want to know more, PM me.

mine was basically stock last time, you'll do fine man...i would suggest RIDING your first time through to watch how everyone drives. VERY CURTEOUS and CAUTIOUS.

The brakes on the S2K are pretty good for the weight of the car, so I don't kill them that often. I'm only on my 3rd set @ 46K miles. Thankfully, OEM replacement rotors for the S2K only cost me $125 shipped for the front pair. Then I just slap them on, scrub my pads, and I'm ready to go.

, & i like the way you think. For a lot of the curvy stuff i was in SS and kept it in 2nd, somtimes 3rd. When you get on the brakes, for me, it was usually hard and fast.

So who's coming this weekend? Shorter route, yet a little more room to stretch your car's legs.

The CL-S should be fine on this one. I take my daily driver on every drive we do. Hell, even the TSX gets a little action out there.
