IS EVERYONE OK WITH SUNDAY THE 23RD??!?

The price is cheaper on Sunday's... so that prolly be best.

 

I am going away that weekend and coming back on Sunday so it works for me! What time are we thinking?

I think we're doin' Sunday, the 23rd. At least, that's what Soopa's tryin' for.

 

If it stays Sunday the 23rd, I can't make it....if we switch to Sat. the 22nd... I should be good.

 

Either day is cool for me. I'm not sure which is better for dbox. I think Sunday may be a little better for blackmagiCL_S, but he may be able to do Saturday, too.

 

It depends on what time this whole thing starts up. My fiance' flies out of Logan Airport on Saturday morning so if we are racing in the afternoon I should be fine to get there. If we start before noon then I will have a problem. Sunday I am free and clear. Anytime is good.

Don't go changing anything on my account though! Even if you pick early on Saturday and I can't race because I missed part of it I'd probably still show up for a while just to meet everyone and to see a parking lot full of CLs and TLs.

Of course one of the best things if we pick Saturday is that there is a bar at F1 and people won't feel as bad about having a couple if it isn't a work night.

Plus it gives us Sunday to get over our aches and pains. I have only raced once there and it is pretty tough on your body!!!

Is this up for the first gen crowd as well? Soop, you should ass a thread in there, some members are nearby. Im in Northern RI, like 50 min from F1. My friend who races formula atlantics is always going up there, i always wanted to go and try them out, but have been buisy. Pick a date, and i will show. Maybe i will bring my FIA racer friend to own everyone on the track. BTW, what date are they reopening the outdoor track?

FWIW, this place is crazy strict about drinking before driving. You get your hand stamped or a wristband or something if you buy a drink at the bar so that they know that you aren't allowed to drive. I suppose that doesn't stop anyhting before you get there but after driving them once before I wouldn't want to be under the influence at all. It will most certainly be a drive and drink thing for me.

Okay, my guess since this tread has been bumped twice and been "empty" of a real post for about 5 days now that this isn't happening this coming weekend? Any idea how many people were planning to show and if we are thinking of a reschedule? If it is this Saturday and there are only going to be the 4 or 5 people that voted for that day in the poll, is that enough to do the grand prix competition that soopa mentioned (I thin that 10-12 people race at the same time)? I know it is only Monday, but it would be nice to get an idea of what is in the works...sorry to be a pest.

 

C'mon...we need to pick up some steam! As of right now I can only make Sunday (as opposed to Saturday).

I say if the F1 meet falls through then maybe we can have something else for Sunday. What would be a good place for a plan B? I am actually interested in hearing and seeing the different intakes people have. In the past people have met up in Natick but that might be a trek for those up north. Some of the Audi peeps like to meet up at Fudruckers up on rt. 1...awesome burger joint. Let me know what peeps are thinking.

 

That's cool. Natick's not so bad for me, although, I'm not sure how others feel about it. I'm pretty much ready to do anything at this point.

 

Let me know what you hear from Soopa and if not we can decide on a plan B by wednesday evening.

I'd be able to do something Sunday afternoon....Natick isn't too bad.

 

Weather report is calling for showers on Sunday...lets hope that isn't true. I'd rather see everyones cars in the sun than dripping wet in the rain....but it is 5 days away....what do they know?

Where on rt1 is the Fudruckers? Bulldog and I are pretty far north so if it is more central than Natick that might be good.

 

I don't exactly know how far north except that its about 10 minutes from Boston. I'll find out though.

I posted something in the TL board about meeting on Sunday so we'll see if there is any interest. So far it seems like me, bulldog, BlackmagiCL_S, and possibly this is me. We'll see what happens. Oh and I saw the weather as well but those mofos also said high-40s yesterday to mid-50s yet my car read 75 degress...go figure. we'll see what happens with the weather.

Oh and for someone who asked earlier...all acuras are welcome so first gens are encouraged to come as well.

How does 3pm sound for folks? It would be tough for me to get there any earlier because I will be coming from NYC most likely...although I can always meet folks later.

 

It's on Rte 1, in Saugus. There's also one in North Andover, but it looks like it's in a busy shopping center??

Saugus was a straight shot for me when I lived in Portsmouth, but I can still get there. blackmagiCL_S and I can figure out a good route to take.

03:00 is fine for me...anytime should be alright, for that matter.

 

Well, if karting is off on Saturday then I will most likely be visiting my brother in NH that evening so I would vote for Saugus on Sunday if I had a choice since that is only about 40 minutes from my place. 3:00 is perfect since it will give me plenty of time to get rid of the possible hangover and shower up myself and maybe my car (if it isn't raining) before meeting.

Should one of us bother to start a new thread about the possible Sunday meet once a place is decided on?

 

BlackmagiCL_S, Good idea. I'll start another thread tonight or tomorrow. Lets wait and see if Juniorbean or Soopa comback with anything in regards to F1. I just found out that I need to come into the office on Sat. morning so I am in whether we have a meet Sat or Sun (looks like Sunday if we don't do the Kart thing). I got someone else on the TL board interested for Sunday.
