So I've gotten pretty big into autocross and will be going to a lot of events this year. Not many Acuras show up other than an RSX here and there, so it would be awesome to see some of you guys come out.


To those who don't know what autocross is, you can read the link below to find out about it. It's basically where a club takes a huge parking lot and turns it into a track.

Summit Point raceway just opened up an autocross track, and it looks like it's going to be freakin amazing. Here's a drawing someone made comparing the different venues we race at:

Here's the list of events for Capital Driving Club this year, which is the club I go with. Registration for the events opens a few weeks before, and if you want to sign up put that you are a guest of Tom Layton. For non-members it is $35 for 6 runs.

Tommy, I will be at the ones in WV. They are about 20 minutes away from my house. We could set up a nice caravan and BBQ at my house before we head out if the AZine fam is down for it.

Quite a few people I know are in capital auto club and regularly autoX. I need to come out and watch some time this spring.

Awesome, I'm down. Try to convince the others from the VA crew to come too.
The events actually have a bit of a barbecue there with a grille and usually hot dogs, italian sausage, and chicken.

Wow! This looks like fun. Never done AutoX before, but I can see where it would be fun and useful for helping with driving skills. I'm gonna investigate a bit further, but I'm thinking seriously abt a road trip to Fredneck just to check it out.

im in va(richmond) and its a bit of a drive to get there then to race the car is a lil hrsh on on m baby(tl)...but do wanna come out there..is there one closer to my area?

It's not bad for your car, not nearly as much as driving a road course would be, and the only ones closer are a group of events we have scheduled in Woodbridge
