I decided on the 1.8T GTI. I wanted soomething that was easy to mod and looks like the chip does wonders for this car along w/ an upgraded turbo. I'm hoping to make this car as fun as my CL was. Gonna go for a test drive this weekend!

oh yea, those suckers can be made quite fast w/ chip & turbo upgrade...good handling too. why dont you get the r32? You could turbo that.

This question is a bit off topic, but I couldn't figure anywhere else to get relevant SJ/SF info...

My transmission on my 97 3.0 CL is starting to go (135K miles - lurching at start and bad 1-2 shifts until warm) and I was wondering if anyone could recommend of any Acura-specific shops that could rebuild my transmission in San Jose? Something like a New Dimensions VW equivalent for Acura. I was thinking of getting it done at AAMCO, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here first. Thanks for any help.
