Count me in with my 99 3.0 cl. i'll try to get two of my guys to bring their rsx's also. One is an 02 and one is 06. The new one is bone stock but the 02 has some work done to it. So are we meeting up at old orchard or the other spot you're talking about.

We're meeting at Skokie Lagoons first:we'll meet people, take pictures and drive on the curvy road. Then, when we are better aquainted, we will cruise on the 94 from Willow road to Old Orchard Road. This is about 5-10 minutes. Then we can all park together at Old Orchard and get something to eat and just hang out.

I'll try to accomidate everyone when I figure out the timing later. CedNBHTL, we are going to skokie lagoons because it has better scenery for pictures and it has an amazing road to drive our Acuras on. I think this is about 1000 times better then meeting in an ugly Hooters parking lot in woodfield and then just staying in one place for a couple hours...might get a little boring, don't you think?

okay sounds good JayRoam. for now, others (non acuras) are kind of welcome, but just understand that about 15 Acuras say they are coming, that is a lot. Tell your buds they CAN come FOR NOW, but when I send the formal PM later, this might have to change...just for future reference, but I doubt I'd have to do that unless a lot of people want to bring other non-acura cars too.

Hey, one more thing. I'm sure many of you know, but 2006 is Acura's 20th anniversary!!!! We have to represent them as best we can. Sport Compact CAr magazine wrote a whole article on Acura's 20th b-day for their July 2006 issue, PICK THAT UP NOW!!!!! It tells why Acura is the greatest Japanese-based company on earth...did you know an Acura was the 1st car to have navi!

I got an RSX-S coming and a Honda S2000. Hondas are ok right? Plus its a S2000.

My bro got a 2nd gen eclipse, I might ask him to go if theres not too many peeps coming. Also got a friend with a G35.

And yeah, 20-40 acuras crusing down Lake Shore drive does sound pretty kool. We can do that for the next meet. I dont we why we cant do meets more often or why this one is so far off. But since we got a fix date already, lets stick to it!

Gillson Park in Wilmette is a nice place too

OK, since this is getting pretty huge, i wanna say ONLY Honda/Acuras can go for this particular meet (yes, this is subject to change...). Skokie Lagoons can only hold so many cars on the shoulder and inlet parts to the water.

We should do a meet like once a month or something. I'd have no problem being in charge of contacting people, etc. in the future. For the next one, I'm 100% up for a cruise on the Lake shore...(even w/ non-Acks) I'll make a mixture of everyone's ideas for next time....I'm thinking a LONG cruise!

Can we just get through this one first??? lol That's probably the best idea for now, right? Just state that you wanna go and who else can possibly come, this way I can sort it out later to see how many we can accommodate...but, of course, every Acura is going!

i guess people aren't reading enough on this thread ....the action starts on page 3, but let me sum it all up:

1.Sunday, July 9th
2.Skokie Lagoons in the NE suburbs of Chicago (take the Edens
[I-94] to Willow Road East and the Lagoons are about 30 seconds away from the exit.)
3. After we meet up here and get to know people, we're gonna cruise through the Lagoons to Dundee Road (where it exits). From there, we will get on the very nearby I-94 and cruise to Old Orchard road to eat at Old Orchard mall.

The exact time of the meet and the exact location in the lagoons will be decided later based on the best details that accommodate us. I will send this information in a PM later on. This formal PM will only go to people who have posted on this thread saying that they can attend!
