I want to see how many people would be interested in attending a meet at Cedar Point sometime this summer. Most likely in August but of course that can be changed.

I've roughly put together a plan and it goes like this.

We meet on Saturday afternoon at Cedar Point. We hang out for a while at a location that is TBD (someone who lives in the area needs to scope out a place big enough to hold the event). If Cedar Point has a park, or if there's a park near Cedar Point, that would work out pretty nicely since we would be able to BBQ, as well.

Then we all go to Cedar Point and line up at the Top Thrill Dragster. Obviously we'll lose some people, but maybe we will be able to stay together. I don't know.

Afterwards, we could go check into a motel or a camp ground. Last time I was at Cedar Point, my friends and I stayed on a camp ground, and it looked like we would be able to rent out a whole section as a group. That would be an awesome drunken time, sitting around bonfires, sipping on some brewskies, and just hanging out.

Then Sunday morning, we wake up with a bad hangover, pack up and go home.



Well, that's my rough draft of a plan for now. If you're interested and/or if you have any suggestions/recommendations, then please post them here!!

OK, I've been checking out some camping sites in the area, and Crystal Rock seems like the best bet. It's very close to Cedar Point (just minutes away, according to them).

It looks like 26 dollars per camping site with electricity per night for two people. Any additional occupants are 3 dollars extra per person per night.

Camping sites without electricity is 6 dollars per person per night.



For cabins, it looks like 65 dollars per cabin per night on the weekends, rated for 4 people. Maximum capacity is 6, and it's 10 bucks extra per person per night. It has electricity and air conditioning.



But that's just one of the 4 places I've looked at so far. I'm sure there are others and I'll keep looking.

Also, this is posted on other Acura forums, too. Hopefully we'll get a good enough response to make this happen.

How close are you to Cedar Point? We need to scope out a place with a decent size parking lot where we can meet up and hang out for a little bit. If you know the area, and can recommend such a place, that would be awesome.

I'm E-mailing you, just in case, because you only have two posts and probably don't check the boards too often.

Right now, I'm thinking either July 24th or July 31st. Both are Saturdays, and I'm leaning toward making this just a one-day event since a lot of people seem to be working and whatnot. Personally I would love to stay at a campground, get shitfaced and jump in the dirty pool.

So... let me know which date is better for you guys. If you can't make it to either, then let us know. I'm sure we can work around it.


Michigan people can meet up somewhere and cruise down there together to meet up with the Ohio and Indiana people. Wow, I just noticed that liloj is from Texas. What a crazy sumbitch, driving from Texas to meet a bunch of northerners and go to Cedar Point.

I'm gonna see if I can find a park or something in the area. Time to go to AAA and pick up a map.
