The parking area on the corner of R Street and W. 15th Street near the Gas Station is pretty wide open. It's the farthest away from the store so it should work. Is there a Starbucks in Merced? I thought about the McDonalds but that lot is kind of small. Not much in Home Depot's lot. Where is Safeway?

there aren't that many people from that area.. everyone is from the bay area or sac.. its a drive for us.. thats why most people are maybe's hence they might not have enough time to be in fresno for that long since its like almost a 2hr drive just to get back into the bay area..

If people are on limited time, at least join us for the drive to Yosemite. If time is limited, you can come back down through Merced instead of joining us at Hooters Fresno. Our hope is that everyone will make the full trip. Jatt and I are trying to make this meet as easy as we can for the N. CA peeps. We're driving 50 miles to meet everyone in Merced to save miles for the N. CA people.
Jatt and I make the drives up to Sactown and the Bay whenever we can because we enjoy the people and the drive. I hope others feel the same.
Neorick - you can make a positive move by committing to this meet. It's not always about quantity but quality. This is a very nice drive with some first rate people and Yosemite is beautiful right now with the falls running.
