whoa, this is the 1st time I've checked the Events section in months. Looks like we were both thinking it's time for a meet!

I'm going to be gone either the weekend of the 17th or the 24th. I'll know for sure which hopefully in the next several days...

I second joedokes28 (damnit, can't remember your real name...I know it's not Joe) for the Nov weekend...anyways, I'm out pretty much all of October's weekends (damn termites in my area!)

Anyways, can't go out too far for a drive, but the temps are definitely nicer out now.

If you want something a bit more local to the East Valley, I would suggest the drive to Apache Junction and Tortilla Flats. I did that drive not too long ago just to check it out. The switchbacks are fun, but I'm always afraid of taking those hairpins and stuff because I can't see oncoming traffic. But it was fun nonetheless.

Keep me posted! When I went up, I saw a Corvette meet there (old 'Vettes) up at the small town (Tortilla Flats?)

I'll place a link in the Car section...

What's up friends?! I am down to come (down or is it up?) to Phx for a alittle get together. I have a freind I can stay with. Also I have done some MAJOR modifications since our last meet. Car should flooring by Nov. Let me know, I'm in. Anyone else on this board from Tucson? I think atleast 2 others are?? I see CLs around here all the time, someone who uses the TL forum should post this there too. It would be great to get a big meet. I never use the board, so will someone else get it going?

Let's plan on that...hopefully my schedule doesn't change (or does so I will have more free time). Anyways, where would you like to drive to? I vote for somewhere close and near the east valley. But if someone wants otherwise...throw down your suggestions!

I say do the drive to Apache Junction/Tortilla Flats.

BTW, name is Jerry.

Welcome to the board, it would be great to have you make it. You're not Aaron's friend with the door conversion are you by any chance?
Also I haven't seen or heard from PGAtour1 since forever, is he still around??

We'll hace to put this in car talk when the dates get a little closer. PGA is still around and only posts in ramblings. He'd probably show. We got a lot of new Az peeps, hopefully they show.

Logan, I can't wait to see your car.

Damn, looks like I'm out for Nov. 1 so if you guys meet up, have a great time. I'm stuck at home because of a damn termite infestation on my property...I gotta sit around and make sure the termite company doesn't screw up my house!

Hey MtBikR,

Are you the guy that had all the work done at dYNO-COMP up in N. Scottsdale off of Greenway? If so your car is INSANE!!! I only got to see the pic of the motor and the dyno results at a whopping 360whp!!!! The rest was explained by Richard (Pres.).

ahhh I didn't know there was a drag strip called speedworld. Anywas there is also a motocross track called Speedworld that is way out in Suprise (near Sun City).

But now that I think of it I've heard so powerful cars racing some where behind the motocross track. Hummm I wonder if its the same that we are both refering to?

If you're meeting later on that day, I may be able to make it. The termite treatment for my house starts in the morning (probably 7am) but will most likely last anywhere from 6-8 hours). If you're meeting in the evening, I think I should be able to meet up with you guys, if not, I'll be sure to catch the next meet.

Really, if you guys do go, the drive up to and through Apache Junction is pretty sweet. There should be like places to park and stuff up there.

I don't have a problem with 2:00 or so. That way the termite guys have time to finish, Eric and I can recover from Friday night drinking, and maybe even wash the car. Now where do we meet? I have no problem driving. When you say the drive to Apache Junction do you mean down the 60 or some backroads? Only time I've been to AJ was to visit my friend's Mom in her double wide.

a couple suggestions for locations: of course the Pavilions, but another option is AZ Mills Mall (where we had that meet a long time ago). That area would be closer for the folks coming up from Tucson

2:00 sounds good to me.

So, who's in on this for Saturday?

Chandler Mall?? is that okay with everyone? I was going to suggest AZ Mills mall but Chandler is just as good and parking may be easier to find there.

If there are members who won't be able to come cause it's too far, speak up and we'll change locations. (Scottsdale Pavilions may be more centrally located for everyone.)

If the Chandler mall is okay, we need a good spot in the parking lot there. I'm not as familiar with Chandler so someboday else will have to suggest a spot. Jerry, I think you live near there so maybe you can suggest an area in the lot that wouldn't be too crowded.

Once we get things finalized, we can spread word to the TL crowd and anybody else you guys know with interesting cars. I'll invite a former CL-S guy (Mark) who's got a WRX now

Logan, glad to see you're coming up! can't wait to see the recent work done to your ride.

Beetroot, whadya mean, "you might try to swing by"??? come on man, help represent AZ to make this a large showing. Be there!! the more we have, the better.

haha well my cls is pretty much stock...so might get intimidated by all the extra horsepower and supercharged versions... shes a little self conscious about her 4 x 4 look right now too...
